And, Portia, where did you manage to bring West Side Story in from? That one has got me completely baffled. Keith. Haha, because both the musicals have a main character called Maria? I do recall that Hayley wanted to be Maria of West Side Story instead of Sound of Music. Either way, Scarlett Johansson will not be starring in either. Thank you Tony (and Portia and Keith). At last the plot unfurls. It seems that you and Portia were the guilty parties. The two Marias are mentioned. So I did see it on HWI after all. Now I can sleep.

Well after the first edition I am sure that we can all agree that there was someone missing from the line up.
Our Hayley has no comparison.
She would fit all the requirements: youth, a perfect voice, a sense of humour and someone who loves and cares for children.

Dear Steve H, Perhaps you missed this one of the stage door. As you say, a thorough an excellent report from Andrew, nothing missed.

Hayley will be going home for two weeks at the end of July. Provided nothing changes between now and then, it should be nothing but R&R. After that, it's back to business and she is pretty much booked up (or at least her time is earmarked) for the rest of the year. This includes the hitherto un-named West End production which was first mentioned last summer (in the Hampton Court programme). Sorry Roger, I am trying to catch up with history. Just so that I can sleep tonight, what was the un-named West End production or does it still remain un-named? Above refers to your quote of 21/04/06. I am still determined to find out where Maria comes into this.

Hello Drew! I don't know if I've missed something, because I'm totally baffled by your post, and I bet I'm not the only one. Could you tell us a bit more, please? Best Wishes, Richard Sorry Richard, I thought that it was time to start a new thread. As it is approaching August and that is when the press enter the silly season, we must be running out of things to say about Cadogan Hall until it actually happens. (Could we bring Andrew down to take some pictures of the stage door?) I recall seeing a thread a while ago, I am not sure whether is was HWI or HW forum on the subject of a possible West End appearance. And I was was further prompted when I did a search on Hayley at Wikipedia: "Rumors have emerged of further UK touring in the fall as well as of a possible West End appearance, but so far few details have been released and that could change very quickly." I remember the forum thread talking about the role of Maria (and I searched and searched this morning and could not find it), and the author would not say which Maria role Hayley was being considered for, the options were Sound of Music or West Side Story. Now, was I dreaming or will some HWI executive confess to making this comment. Hence, to clear the air, I ask the audience if Hayley has approached or been approached by Lord Lloyd-Webber. Considering the circles in which she moves, I do not doubt either option. Perhaps this other Andrew ( L-W) had approached Hayley and she declined. Hence the need for an open competition. But can you imagine a purer nun than Hayley? However, if it was really West Side Story that she was after, I am completely wrong.

Can we expect Hayley to be in the last 10?

Well done Steve for the timeliness of your videos.
Well done Dave for the time and effort put into yours. Excellent quality.
Well done Andrew for convincing Hayley that delphinium is a very nice colour for a dress.
Did anyone notice that Hayley left the interview stage right and then appeared for her song stage left? Has Richard been testing out the string behind the stage set?

Debbie Wiseman scores watery adventure:
British composer Debbie Wiseman is currently working on the score for Flood an action adventure film which will hit screens in 2007! The film, which stars Robert Carlyle, Tom Courtenay, Joanne Whalley and David Suchet, is about the terrifying consequences of a raging storm and high tides that threaten a vulnerable London with a massive tidal surge. The score is being performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who previously worked with the composer on Arsène Lupin and The Truth About Love. The film will also feature a title-song performed by international star Hayley Westenra, who is also involved in Debbie Wiseman’s upcoming project called ‘Different Voices’. The project, which is a new take on the ‘young persons guide to the orchestra’, will premiere on Easter Monday (April 9th) 2007 at Cadogan Hall in London, performed by the RPO and narrated by Stephen Fry.
There are no details of an album release for Flood as yet, but we’ll keep you posted!

Despite Canterbury Cathedral thinking that Hayley, Fiona and Ian are all in Canterbury (Kent, UK) on Friday 27th October 2006, Fiona on the other hand thinks that she is near the other Canterbury (Christchurch, NZ) on the same day. www.fionapears.com/fireandlight/gigs.htmNow I was amazed when Hayley and Fiona appeared at Regent's Park and Cardiff on the same day. I shall be impressed if Fiona performs at both Christchurch and Canterbury on the same day. That is dedication. I guess Ian has the casting vote.

Thanks for the article Andrew. Looks as though she is on for Twickenham, even if they have got the date wrong (should be 5th November). Who is bringing the crate of Pinot Noir to Cadogan Hall to crack open after choir practise? And whatever did happen to Hayley's planned duet with Daniel Beddingfield at the Global Angels concert? Can't see anything on Canterbury Cathedral website regarding performance. Also confusing to note that the new University in Canterbury is called Christchurch! www.canterbury.ac.uk/

Yes, straight in with both feet and no brain.
It was only after I posted the article that I checked my calendar to find that I am sunning myself in Gambia on that day.
So, if there are any Court photographers out there that would like to purchase back their regular seats, please send me a PM.
Note to all workers, this is on Easter Monday.
Note to all, Hayley is only due to perform the one and only song (but it is "the highlight of the concert").
Note to those who listened to the Belgian interview, this sounds filmic! (Perhaps an item for the album, especially as this is around release time.)
