Thank you Dave.
That was perfect timing. I am just back from refereeing rugby and it is a delight to hear the regular trio back together.
It is a far cry from the rugby pitch where the language is more akin to a Charlotte Church late night show.
No doubt Fiona (did I hear Parrys the first time round) will soon be winging her way back home to Christchurch for the winter season.
PS. I have never heard a live audience for Woman's Hour before (not that I am a regular listener).

Thank you Andrew and Belinda.
It is good to know that Hayley communicates her future movements with her parents. I know the problem of teenagers phoning home to their Mums when they are miles away form home. My wife freaked out when she saw a BBC World Service News flash concerning an attempted coup in Zambia whilst our daughter was doing missionary in a Zambian prison and her boyfriend had had an appearance with the Zambian President the previous day.
Anyway I thought that Gerald and Jill caught up with Hayley's movements by watching the videos on Channel HWI TV!

I shall be at Proms in the Park on Saturday 9th September (sadly there is another soprano singing in Hyde Park this year). Do you think that they will leave the screens and the loudspeakers switched on for Sunday's performance?
What happened to our insider information? Hayley did not mention this to Classic FM.

Thanks Richard, well found. We listened to it back & forth about half an hour ago. Some mysteries unfurled!! Interesting re the duet Hayley sang with the Belgian Helmut Lotti too just before she came home . See below. He seems to sing crossover quite happily. There's no mention of what they sang or in which language. Thanks Andrew & John re putting the 2 award pics on the front page. Good idea. Graemek The only match with Hayley and Helmut that I can find is "There's A Sparkle In Your Eyes". I cannot give a link because it is in German. This may be for Helmut's new double album "The Crooners". Helmut has previously duetted with Sir Cliff Richard. Perhaps all three of them will get together when Cliff performs at Wembley in November! Interesting to see that Helmut is a respresentative of UNICEF for Belgium. Looks like a new thread should be started.

And another version: Hayley Westenra selected as Outstanding Youth Tuesday, 5 September 2006, 2:44 pm Press Release: Junior Chamber International JCI NEW ZEALAND PRESS RELEASE: Junior Chamber International selects Hayley Westenra as an Outstanding Young Person of the World. The JCI (Jaycee’s) New Zealand nomination of Hayley Westenra has been selected as one of Junior Chamber International’s (JCI) Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World Program (TOYP). JCI New Zealand National President Andre Stokes says that the TOYP Program serves to formally recognize young people (aged between 18 and 40) throughout the world who excel in their chosen fields and exemplify the best attributes of the world’s young people. By recognizing these young people, JCI encourages them and others to seek excellence and to continue to serve others. Hayley won under the category of Cultural Achievement The selection process for nominees is arduous says National President Stokes. In 2006, over 150 nominations were submitted from 42 different countries. All nominations were pre-screened by judges to select thirty finalists. The final thirty nominations were then sent to the final judges. At that stage of judging, each judge worked independently of his fellow judges and the names of the judges are unknown to their fellow judges until the judging process is completed. The final honorees selected were the ten nominees who receive the highest point totals. In winning this prestigious award, Miss Westenra will be flown, courtesy of JCI, to the JCI World Congress in Seoul in November where she will be presented with her award at a formal black tie function. Past winners of the JCI TOYP awards include Actor Jackie Chan, Entrepreneur Anthony Robbins and Australian Pioneer Aviatrix, Janine Shepherd. JCI (Jaycees) is a world-wide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs for young people aged 18-40. It has more than 250,000 members in more than 110 nations globally. ENDS www.scoop.co.nz/stories/CU0609/S00043.htmSo we can expect a few more visitors on the map from Korea.

Hayley Westenra 'outstanding young person of the world' 12.00pm Tuesday September 5, 2006 By Jarrod Booker New Zealand singing sensation Hayley Westenra has been named one of the 10 outstanding young people in the world in the prestigious annual awards by Junior Chamber International (Jaycees). The 19-year-old from Christchurch, who has topped the UK classical music charts and also serves as a Unicef ambassador, is the first New Zealander ever to be named in the top ten. She was recognised for her cultural achievement. Hayley was selected from a pool of 150 nominees from 42 countries. Her album Pure has sold millions of copies and she has performed with the world's greatest classical performers at the world's most prestigious venues. Her achievement was announced while she was back in her hometown of Christchurch today. Hayley said although she didn't set out to win awards, it was a huge honour to be "flying the New Zealand flag". "With my singing I'm always aware that young people are looking up to me. Along the way I'm trying to make the world a better place by doing my bit." Hayley is spending nine days at home with her family before returning to London where she is based. She is recording a new album in November, but is due back in New Zealand for Christmas. www.nzherald.co.nz/section/6/story.cfm?c_id=6&ObjectID=10399804No surprise there Belinda.

Andrew, if you fancy buying a present for Hayley, pop across to Glasgow, just in time for Christmas. Celebrity jewellery exhibition 30 August 2006
High-couture jewellery designer, Michelle Ong, has chosen Glasgow in Scotland for the first ever exhibition of 100 of her creations - among them four that she designed specially for the hit movie, The Da Vinci Code.
Ong’s exquisitely designed pieces incorporating exceptional gem stones, are viewed as individual works of art, so where better to display them than the world-renowned Burrell Collection with its 8,000 objets d’arte that were once the personal collection of Glasgow shipping magnate, Sir William Burrell (1861 – 1958).
The exhibition will highlight common themes running through the Hong Kong based designer’s work including the fusion of East and West and the combination of traditional and contemporary materials and motifs. Sourcing rare gem stones is also a particular passion.
Ong, who designs for her own company, Carnet, has been called “one of the greatest designers of our time” by international jewellery critic Ryo Yamaguchi, and the exhibition presents both new creations and loans from her illustrious clientele.
Celebrities who have worn Carnet include Kate Winslet, Teri Hatcher, Mischa Barton, Glenn Close, the opera singer, Hayley Westenra, and supermodel Rebecca Romijn-Stamos.
Michelle Ong said, “Carnet is extremely pleased to be launching its first exhibition showcasing its artistry in jewellery design as part of a season of stylish events taking place in Glasgow. With the city’s reputation for style and the prominence of the Burrell Collection, we believe the exhibition will be a fantastic success.”
Where: The Burrell Collection, Pollok Country Park, Glasgow. Admission is free. glasgowmuseums.com
When: Saturday, 28 October – Sunday, 10 December. The Burrell Collection is open Mon – Thu & Sat 10am – 5pm, Fri & Sun 11am – 5pm. www.easier.com/view/News/Travel/article-67281.html

Peter, I am sure that Richard did not mean to confuse. Above is the program for next Sunday. Richard quoted the program from last year to demonstrate that it was a different song for Hayley. At least it generated a delightful story from the postscript archives.
