Wednesday Weather update With three days to go, the forecasts are showing a lot more consistency from day to day and rain is in the air. With low pressure off NW Scotland, winds will be from the South West and a band of continuous rain lasting several hours will be spreading Eastwards across England on Wednesday, some time in the afternoon and/or Evening for the South East. It could rain all day in the North. There should then be a long dry slot lasting for half a day in some places, with another band of rain to follow. It looks like the best hope of a dry concert will be if the rain starts early afternoon, clearing before evening - and we catch the dry slot. There is a possibility that rain could hang around into the evening if its movement Eastwards slows down in the South (this sometimes happens - the two rainbands could even connect together on the South Coast but hopefully not in London). Temperatures will be below average, not quite as low as last year, but it could again be quite breezy. The hardest things to forecast are the timing of the rain and how heavy it will be. We won't know that for sure until Tuesday or Wednesday - fingers crossed! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello again everybody! Whatever the forecast, I think it will be wise to wear something warm and waterproof on Wednesday. Even if the weather stays dry, it could be pretty chilly once the sun sets during the long interval. Never mind, you can always rely on Hayley to send the temperature soaring! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifStill THREE days to go! See you there, Richard

I am sorry to disagree with Emett. London Transport is divided into 6 zones. Hampton Court is in zone 6. A one day off-peak Travelcard for zones 1-6 (£6.00 for an adult) is valid from 09.30 and for any journey before 04.30 the following day. This Travelcard is valid for Tube, most buses and National Rail within the zones. A zone 1-6 Travelcard will be the cheapest way to travel from central London to Hampton Court and back.. :)Thanks for that info Tony. ::)Silly me I thought Hampton court was outside the 1-6 Zones. Any at least it saves me having to fork out more for another train journey. Cheers, Emmett

Quick Weather update The concert is still forecast to be in the dry slot I mentioned the other day - halfway between two large rainbands moving East. Nothing at all in the forecast has changed for the last two days... that's usually a good sign for accuracy... but fingers crossed anyway - and not only for the weather, Keith! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello again everybody, and thank you Joe for your kind wishes. I'm not going to worry about the weather forecast, because I've heard through the grapevine that it's going to be a great night at Hampton Court tomorrow! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThey make their own wine there with grapes from the Great Vine, and Catherine Howard's ghost is the official wine taster. She's not only armless, she's legless as well! Only ONE more day to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard

Hi Lothar,
I don't know if this will get to you before you leave but, I do not have a mobile phone so, if you want to meet up, you will have to look for me.
Remember bright royal blue sweatshirt, probably under a jacket.
Cheers, Keith.
