Richard, do you know how far Kingston is from Hampton Court, is it walkable?. How far is it to Central London by foot, its looking like an option.......... Hello again Emmett! Kingston is about two miles from Hampton Court, which is walkable in about 35 minutes. Central London is about 15 miles from Hampton Court, so rather than walk that, it would be better to wait for the first train in the morning! The are now EIGHT days to go, but according to the Beatles that's only a week! I know Liverpool is a strange city, but it looks as though they've got a completely different calendar as well! How many days are there in a week on the Wirral, Keith? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you at Hampton Court, Richard P.S. I've now corrected my spelling of Stansted in a previous post!

In fact, if we want to be really technical, there are actually nine days in a week.
I forgot to include Scratching Day.
Keith.

Thanks for that Richard, I think the first option sounds way better, what was I thinking, walking to central London....... I was able to get a map of the area of Multimap so I have my route planned. Cheers, Emmett

Help! I should have known better than to start us on Beatles songs yesterday, but now I'm saving all my loving for Hayley at Hampton Court next Wednesday. Hayley loves performing, so it shouldn't be a hard day's night for her. There are only seven more days to go, so it won't be long now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard, alias Eleanor Rigby

I am really looking forward to next Wednesday. In fact, I will be about to arrive at Hampton Court at this time next week. It will be great to meet up with everyone there and, on that day, I will celebrate being a Day TripperAttending a concert with hayley always makes me Glad All Over i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifKeith.

Or umbrellas with some smiley's : - ))) Lothar Umbrellas? Hmmmm... many a true word has been spoken in jest. I've just done an early check on next Wednesday's weather forecast for Hampton Court. It's early days yet and it could change - but it's not good. About as cold as last year (below 15 degrees C), not as breezy but rain or showers (impossible to say what time of day this will occur) Let's hope this year, that the US and UK computer forecast models for London are completely and utterly wrong! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'll keep an eye on it anyway.

Well, if we're on to Beatles songs now, suppose you're driving a car down Penny Lane and you lose control of the wheel. Suppose further there's a large wilderness of strawberry plants just at that spot, and you end up totally dazed in the middle of them. It might feel as if you had some Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds then. And you might find yourself on A Long And Winding Road in Strawberry Fields Forever - unless you get out with a little help from your friends ...

Hallo Nick, Many, many thanks to you for your detailed information and support. Many thanks to all other “supporters” too. Nick, now I want to give you a short answer only. Tomorrow I will look at the links of London transport system time tables, you sent to me. And then maybe I will have some more questions. I agree with you: During the day it will be no problem to go from the airport to the City of London and to Hampton Court, but after concert, this will be difficult. I will prepare myself at best as possible. One possibility to go during the night by taxi to the airport is interesting too. What way is shorter – to go by taxi from Hampton Court to the airport directly or from points like Waterloo Station? Could you tell me approximately, how much it is to go by taxi these routes? I believe it will be cheaper to use a transport like National Express from somewhere like London Victoria. National Express is this something like a shuttle to the airport? Is Victoria Station the best place to change? Do you want to suggest?: First: From Hampton Court by train to Victoria Station Second: From Victoria Station by shuttle (National Express) to airport Stansted. Is this description correct? I ordered from www.amazon.co.uk a map of London. I hope this map will arrive at me a.s.a.p. next days. Nick, do you visit the concert at Hampton Court on June, 15 th by yourself also? I hope so. Best regards, Lothar First, apologies for the long delay in responding, my PC's been up **** creek and you'd be lucky if you can find a splinter let alone a paddle if you know whta i mean. Been a bit of a problamtic machine ever sicne we got it but its really nose dived recently. Things do look like they could be improving mind. Second, Lothar, it's no problem at all, i have time and knowledge enough right now so it was the least i could do. I think Richard has covered most of it when it comes to getting a National Express Coach to Stansted Airport however i will add one final thing . If i recall correctly the direct services from Liverpool Street Station leave at 0200 isn't that right? Still a bit of time to wait and it of course depends on when you want to reach the airport but, there are more or less similar services that depart London Victoria at 0:00hrs and 0:30hrs, they take around 90 minutes to rach Stansted i believe, a few stops on the way as you pass througn London but that's it. As to if i am going by myself, well i in act have two tickets although the other one has not been taken up yet, well not for definite, hopefully i'll have an answer fairly soon. You asked about a taxi and i left this till last as i really think you should only consider it if absolutely necessary. Now i don't know the exact price i'm afraid but i can tell you this much. 2-3 years ago i and my family arrived back from Paris on the Eurostar to London Waterloo which is also in Central London as you probably know, we got a London Black Taxi home to suburban North London, it set us back more than £60, from there it is a further 45 minute drive to London Stansted, basically you gonna get murdered on price with those kind of rates. I'd also like to say thank you to Richard and Emmett for the research they've done into SW trains. Much appreciated, i might give them a ring later on today myself and i'll get back to you with their response. We're gonna need to know something concrete before the day itsellf so.. Just checked the BBC Weather site, slight problem being that their long range forcast is 5 days but then when the further you look ahead the mroe chance for error anyway. Looks like the weather is taking a bit of a dip but you never know, Britain could expereicne a freak heatwave lasting only 24 hours, it happens. Without that, i just hope that we have clear skies and nothing more than a slight breeze throughout the evening. Neither Hayley, Jose nor ourselves need a shower and uncomfortable wind chill factor next week. *fingers crossed* and i'll say a lucky little phrase i ahve too. thanks a lot Nick, :

Hello folks! Seeing the long-range weather forecast, we'll have to ask Hayley to sing "Here Comes The Sun" (sorry)! In case anybody is unaware, it says on the General Information page of the Festival web site that the use of umbrellas is not permitted in the courtyard, so take some sort of waterproof clothing, just to be on the safe side. For Lothar, the times I quoted for the National Express coach service A7 from Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport were taken from the timetable displayed on the bus stop. Only SIX days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard
