Normally a rose by any other name would smell as sweet; however a Hayley Westenra rose is sure to smell much, much sweeter.

Look who's blooming again.......







After our house moving, i brought the Westenra roses with me, to our new appartement, and put them in big pots.....
After a cold winter, they are blooming now, i think even better than before !!

I can see that now - there's also a large white corner post in the middle of the picture that I didn't see

I'm delighted to tell you that The Westenra Rose has won another award! Here is the news from UNICEF NZ, kindly forwarded by Bandana and Hayley's dad today:

Could you please let Hayley know that the “Hayley” rose grown by Tasman Bay Roses won 2010 Rose of the Year Award and also best Hybrid Tea Rose Award. The Weekend Gardner magazine which published the results also paid tribute to Hayley and mentioned that each rose sale contributes to the purchase of bikes for girls in Ghana. Thanks

Great! It really is a beautiful rose. I especially like the one that's only partially opened in the photo. The open one resembles a peony, actually. Peonies are pretty, too.
