Hi all!

Went to see Mirusia perform tonight at the Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols in Brisbane.

A storm decided to sweep through right as Mirusia started performing and I had a bit of dodgy spot (serves me right for being lazy and not going until the last minute). But I still enjoyed Mirusia's set.

Mirusia debuted an excellent new Christmas carol called Gentle Mary. I have a video of it, but the quality is a bit ordinary. The concert will be shown on TV next week, so I think I will tape and upload Gentle Mary so justice can be done.

Mirusia's new live album and DVD arrived in time for Christmas! I must say, it was very well done for a DVD by an independent artist.

Mirusia was played on RTE Lyric Fm by Lorcan Murray on Drivetime at 5:14 Waltzing Matilda. This was the first time I heard Mirusia played on RTE Lyric FM.

Mirusia has been working hard the last few years and has released at least three additional albums.

For me the second part of Solveig's Song by Grieg (1875) always triggers a memory of Pictures at an Exhibition by Emerson, Lake and Palmer and their take on the original suite by Modest Mussorgsky from 1874. I wonder who really composed it.
