I love Mirusia as well -- she comes from the same city that I'm living in at the moment, so I get a bit of a kick out of that! I remember discovering her after I bought Andre's Melbourne concert DVD last December for my mother for Christmas. I was being quite sneaky, so I figured I'd watch the DVD before I wrapped it (hey, who hasn't done that before?  ) I was so transfixed by Mirusia's performance that that night at work I spent my entire tea break battling through the hoards of Christmas shoppers just to buy the 'Waltzing Matilda' cd. I absolutely love 'Botany Bay'. Until then, I'd never heard that song sung by anyone except unenthusiastic Primary School children! Amazing! All I know is that I wouldn't want to be responsible for cleaning the drains at her house.... Siobhan and I are hoping to see Mirusia again later this year when Andre and his entourage return to Adelaide. Last year Mirusia (who is a frind of Siobhan's on myspace) asked to meet Siobhan after her performance. Mirusia just said on her Facebook that it's actually a tracklist from from the album "Songs of Inspiration" with the QLD Pops Orchestra which she collaborated on a few years ago. This is apparently the tracklist.... even though it doesn't match up at all with the description on the website... 1. How Great Thou Art 2. The Lord's Prayer 3. The Holy City 4. Do you know what I want to do to this? I want to take it out back and shoot it. Put a bomb on it, and watch is shatter to a million pieces. Honestly, how awful is that track list? Does she have a better album I can check her out on, or are they all like this?  |

Sorry about the poor quality - my camera is not very good!     After the concert, Mirusia held a signing and she was kind enough to sign both of my albums and pose for a picture with me. I was so pleased to see your post about your attending Mirusia's performance! Thank you for sharing!
I have to tell you, I smiled when I saw your photos of Mirusia on stage...then when I saw your autographed CD's I was like "wow!". But seeing you and Mirusia side by side, I exclaimed a very powerful "yes!!!"

Mirusia's album Always and Forever is currently number 17 on the Australian pop charts (WOW) with minimal promotion, so she's doing very well! Hopefully one day you'll be able to see her in an intimate concert like this one.
