Hi all, Just a quick update on one of my favourite C/C singers Mirusia who is from Australia (and incidentally my current city of Brisbane). Plenty of Mirusia videos here if you're interested: mirusia-online.com/mirusia/videos/Cheers, Jillian I Have just placed Mirusia on my bookmarks BAR, I don't let just anyone sit there Thanks for the linky to the videos. Are some of these videos your handiwork ? Love the Romanza - Live by Mirusia 5 July 2012 Home Tour Australia. The violin player's music stands are cool too. WOW ! The Don't cry for me Argentina brought me back to a place a long time ago...1978. 35 years that flew past, God I want my money back The audience shots a fascinating.. How a song captures the heart.

Romanza was my own handy work - as are all the videos from the 5th of July They came out not too bad just recorded on a regular digital photo camera -- but still nothing like being there in person. Mirusia makes it easy, because she encourages fans to take photos and videos during her concerts -- so no hiding of cameras necessary. Mirusia does my all time favourite 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again' of any artist... Cheers, Jillian

I picked my video camera particularly for the microphones it had, video was secondary, believe it or not We get opportunities like this, once in a lifetime, I got my camera to record one specific singer, The "value" of the recordings far outweighs the "price" of the camera, anyday..

Hi Comet, Yes, I've seen that awesome piece of kit you have - rather jealous! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Without fan recordings, so much of this would be a moment lost in time -- but now it can be shared all around the world. Anyway, glad you like the site -- I've just finished doing a huge make-over of it, so I'm still working on it a bit. Cheers, Jillian

Hi all, I've just found out that Mirusia will be releasing a new album and DVD shortly! John tells me that the details were announced on a flyer at Mirusia's Dutch concerts -- John tells me that the DVD will be called 'Beautiful That Way - Live in Holland'. The only detail we know about the album is that one of Mirusia's self penned tracks 'Forever Shine' has been recorded for it. Forever Shine: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUY213SUpzYand just cause I've been listening to it: Love Changes Everything: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbsD77FBIi4

As 'Live in Holland' is part of the title, I think it is fair to assume that it will have been recorded at one or more of the venues on Mirusia's current 'Second Home' tour. The set list I believe was the same for all four dates, so I have a fair idea of what might be included. I'll share the list when I get time. There were 22 songs (including encores) at Amsterdam, though some of them were without Mirusia as she was changing at the time. Don't know how many will make it to the album.

Hi all! John's tip off proved to be correct! Mirusia has announced the upcoming release of her new live album and live DVD Beautiful That Way. Beautiful That Way was recorded live in Maastricht during Mirusia's recent tour of the Netherlands. It is available for pre-order here: mirusia.luondo.nl/enTracklist1 Home 2 Summertime 3 Solveig’s Lied 4 Botany Bay 5 Waltzing Matilda 6 With Or Without You 7 Ave Maria 8 Romanza 9 Besame Mucho 10 Already Home 11 Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious 12 Life Is Like A Boat 13 O Mio Babbino Caro 14 Beautiful That Way 15 Homeward Bound 16 Impromptu 17 In Mir Klingt Ein Lied 18 All I Ask Of You 19 Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again 20 Forever Shine 21 Geef mij je angst 22 Look for me in rainbows The only song I wish was on there is 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' - but we can't always have everything we want, hey? Judging by the setlist, it seems Mirusia has re-created the entire of her concert, including the support acts. I'll be seeing Mirusia again this coming Saturday when she performs live with Andre Rieu. Cheers, Jillian

Oh! I never did share the list, did I? Never mind, you have it now i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI didn't order the CD/DVD from the flyer at the concert, as it looked like it was for Dutch customers only. Silly me I could have used my sister's address But all is not lost - I've ordered them now Same price and still signed

I wonder if there was any more audience participation at Maastricht for Botany Bay Amsterdam just didn't seem to get it. I felt like a solo voice in the audience when we were asked to join in.

Hi John, When I went to the first Home concert in Redlands (Mirusia's home suburb) there was massive audience participation in Botany Bay. I think that had to do with a lot of Mirusia's biggest supporters, family and friends being there - as well as Botany Bay being a really famous Australian song. I think the Maastricht concert would have been quite special, as I think Mirusia lived there for a number of years while she was touring full-time with Andre Rieu. I've also added a post about this to my Mirusia fan site: mirusia-online.com/mirusia/new-album-beautiful-that-way/

I think perhaps it is not well known at all outside Australia. The first time I remember hearing Botany Bay was from Mirusia, but the chorus does rather stick in the mind. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
