Hi Katie,
Sorry to hear you won't be joining us in Canterbury but I'm sure we will catch up with you at some future event.

Hello everyone I have purchased a ticket for Canterbury and I've played Hayley's music for a couple of my friends and now they want to come too! I haven't called the box office yet because I don't have a phone here in my room at university, but I was wondering, does anyone know if the show is basically sold out? Are there any good seats left? Thanks! -Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,
I am so pleased to hear you will be going to Canterbury. There should be quite a few forum mebers there so please come and introduce yourself if you see us.
The last I heard, the only available seats were right at the back and that was a little while ago. It depends how many friends want to come but, if you are quick, you may be lucky.
Hope you are enjoying being in England!
Roger

Hi Tim,
Richard is likely to know more than I am but I'm sure you will have no trouble in purchasing a ticket to Canterbury. There are ticket machines on in the foyer of the station. However, if you chose to deal with a human (!), there is usually a lengthy queue at the ticket office.
There are two stations there, namely Canterbury East and Canterbury West. The cathedral is approximately equidistant from either. Journey time (from Victoria or Charing Cross) is about 1hr 25 minutes.
Would you return to London straight after the concert or stay overnight in Canterbury? Bear in mind that the last train from Canterbury to London leaves at 23:18 and requires two changes (at Faversham and Gillingham). The last direct train leaves Canterbury far too early (21:20).
Maybe Richard can offer further advice.
Roger

Hello again Tim! There are two trains an hour from Victoria to Canterbury East for most of the day. You can buy a 'Network Away Break' ticket, provided you travel after the morning peak on Friday, which means after 9:30am. The fare is £20.80, and you can return within 5 days. You may be able to buy this ticket from the machines, but if not you will have to queue at the ticket office on the main concourse. I hope to see you at Canterbury Cathedral. 15 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Hi If you want to save some money National Express is still offering return tickets from Victoria coach station to Canterbury for £8 on 27/10 and 28/10. The tickets are non refundable though. Canterbury coach station is nearer the Cathdral than the rail stations. You can book online and print an e-ticket. You can buy rail tickets from www.thetrainline.com and www.virgintrainsfares.co.uk. The tickets are either posted or you can opt to use a fast track machine at the station, either way it saves waiting and you can obtain the cheapest fares. Tony B Edit: I made both links clickable.Richard

Although you may be familair with all this through Amtrak, which i use when in the States for onward travelling and to the princiles behind which we are beginning to cotton on, when advance booking some of these tickets require you to catch a specific train, not the next one available and some tickets are exclusive to each rail company while others can be used on any. You do need to read very carefully what you are doing at each stage of the ticketing process. Peter S.

Hello again Tim! To follow on from Peter's post, the Network Away Break fare I quoted (£20.80) can be bought at Victoria on the day, and the only restriction is that you must travel after the morning peak on Monday to Friday. Advance booking and seat reservations are not required, and you should find a seat without any difficulty. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Richard, Good to hear I can buy a train ticket on the day, I can't register to buy on line, they don't like my post code. At this moment I have a plane ticket, a reservation at the Kingsbridge Villa in Canterbury, and a concert ticket, (only 30 left). ..........TimJ
