Richard, Good to hear I can buy a train ticket on the day, I can't register to buy on line, they don't like my post code. At this moment I have a plane ticket, a reservation at the Kingsbridge Villa in Canterbury, and a concert ticket, (only 30 left). ..........TimJ Clearly Tim we must make certain that if Hayley doesn't have the time for the rest of us we MUST ENSURE SHE HAS TIME FOR YOU after all that effort! Regardless, I think you have earned your place right at the head of the queue, then, with luck, extra time afterwards--unless the whole cathedral want to shake her hand! Pity we are not as advanced as Amtrak. i pre-ordered my entire itinerary by train from the UK without a problem and that meant covering Canadian as well as Amtrak rail routes! Sorry about that! Hi everyone, Thanks for the info- my friends will be joining me after all for the concert! I was wondering if there might be an opportunity to meet Hayley. I know some of you have gotten to meet her, I was wondering if she greets people after most of the concerts she does? Thanks again for the info- I'll be sure to introduce myself at the concert! -Elizabeth

Hello to everyone heading for Canterbury on the 27th
I've just gone through the thread and, if Elizabeth is bringing two friends, then our numbers for this concert stand at 21!!
To answer Elizabeth's question about meeting Hayley; whilst this can never be guaranteed, she does like to meet her fans so I think their is a very good chance.
A word of warning though, I gather there are over 1000 seats in the Cathedral so a fairly long wait may be the order of the day.
Looking forward to meeting up with everyone. Anyone had any thoughts about a pre-concert meeting? perhaps we could hire a church hall or something! (Only joking!)

Hi everybody going to Canterbury. I promised to take my friends granddaughter to see Hayley if she ever came to Canterbury, so she will be coming to. That makes 22. Coincidentally she will be singing in the Cathedral that afternoon with her school

What intrigues me Richard is where you are going to "hang out" - cathedrals don't normally have stage doors!!!! I only wish I could be joining you. Martin

Hi everybody going to Canterbury. I am local to Canterbury, only about 9 miles away so will be hovering around during the day, just in case Hayley does any impromtu busking on one of the street stages. Anybody that has not been to Canterbury before will probable want to look around the Cathedral beforehand and do the pilgrims tour. The imformation centre is right oposite the Cathedral entrance. See you all there. Tony Hi Tony Any suggestions about a reasonable place to eat in Canterbury? A pub with decent food and good, quick service would do just fine. Grant

Richard If you get a chance on Friday could you ask Hayley (or Steve if he's there) if she will be appearing in London before Christmas. Thanks Martin

Hi.
Just booked my hotel. Who was coming over from the States?Don't answer, I'll catch up myself shortly, been offline amazingly for nearly 10 days. However, the point in raising this was that it was the Ebury which rang bells as someone else saying they were staying there too, a short walk to Cathedral and City centre and somewhere easy to ditch the car as soon as I arrive.

Hi Elizabeth. Great that you will be joining us.
Hayley, I think is like a very rare few. It would be a presumption she would not like, to say she's the only one who takes so much trouble over her fans, although i am sure it is her personal disposition that she simply likes meeting with people.
When I've caught up enough I'll give you some background as to how some others treat, or (mis)treat, fans. But that could simply be that they feel (especially when so much older) they have done their stint on stage, why should they take time out backstage?
There is a fair argument. But more anon. Have to go to check out someone's dog that may need allowing out to the essential necessities as it is on its own for a few hours.
Back soon, hopefully--if it doesn't eat me! Its that type of a dog, well, not just yet, its only four months old but its already bigger than a large number of grown dogs a lot of people have.

Peter S. Hi Peter, Thought we'd lost you for a while there!! I'm booked into a guest house on Broad Oak Road close to West Station and hope to arrive by train about lunch time. Expect to do a bit of sight seeing and eat about 5pm - should be able to find a pub meal easily enough. I'll send you a PM with my mobile number so we can meet up if you are able. Looking forward to Friday!! Grant
