Hello everybody! I know this concert has not been officially confirmed yet, but I'm starting a thread because I've just paid a visit to Canterbury, which is why I wasn't online this morning. Tickets are definitely now on sale for this concert, and they are selling well, so I've taken a chance and bought one (seat DD23 near the front). If the concert is subsequently cancelled there shouldn't be a problem getting a refund. Full details can be found on this link: www.canterburyfestival.co.uk/eventdetail.asp?id=17I'm going to add the concert to Hayley's Schedule for 2006, but I'll show it as unconfirmed. I hope we receive confirmation soon! Fingers crossed, Richard

Richard, Just received my tickets in the post this morning: EE12, EE13, EE14 & EE15. I don't see why I am behind you when I purchased my tickets last Monday (7th). You must have a way with the ladies in the booking office (especially when mine were sent out from Canterbury on Sunday afternoon). Interesting to see that the tickets just say "Hayley Westenra" without the friends. So perhaps Fiona is performing in Christchurch on 27th as she states on her website after all. Perhaps we shall see Fiona Swadling or the full RPO. May be Fiona was concerned about shedding her shoes in the nave. Has anyone noticed that if you mistype Fiona's webite as www.fiona.pears.com ? It comes up with fruit and veg! Please confirm this concert ASAP Steve A. The Catherdral is filling up.

Hello Drew! I see you ordered four tickets, and your seats are all together. Your booking was processed before the box office opened to personal callers yesterday, but because I only wanted one seat, I picked up an odd one that was still available in the row in front. I'm near the end of the row, but you're in the middle, so you'll be closer to Hayley! I'm not jealous, because the nave isn't particularly wide, and I often find you get a better view from an angle. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard

Re booking for the Canterbury Cathedral concert.
I rang the box offic this morning at 9.35am and managed to secure seat F12. I was only offered this one and FF23 (which is behind apparently and on the opposite side of the knave, i.e. the pulpit side) as seats available towards the front.
The lady confirmed that VIRTUALLY ALL the £18 seats have been sold so early booking is essential if you want a reasonable view of Hayley.
Hope this helps
Grant

Hi Richard and all,
I have booked HH13 and HH14 for Myself and Stuart, not as close as I would like for the photo's but at least they are central. I struggled to get through yesterday which is why I have ended up eight rows back!
Best wishes all,
Steve H

Hello again everybody! According to the HWI main site, this concert has now been confirmed by Steve Abbott, so I'll start the countdown. 10 weeks or 70 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'll choose the weeks so I can use my fingers! See you there, Richard

Just got my ticket. I'm on FF12 (not F12) so should be behind Drew.
Doesn't seem as though many of us are going to this one. Perhaps because the best seats sold so early.
I've booked accomodation for the Friday night (to far to drive back to Derby!)
Hope to meet up with some of you on the night.

It's time to continue the countdown, because today there are... 8 weeks to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI changed the font for that one, but they've still got the old font in Canterbury Cathedral! Exit, via the belfry! Richard

Hello again folks! It's looking very unlikely that Fiona Pears will be appearing with Hayley at Canterbury Cathedral. Her web site has been updated and she is still due to appear at Christchurch Arts Centre in New Zealand on 27th October 2006. www.fionapears.com/fireandlight/gigs.htmBest Wishes, Richard

It is hard to tell if Ian Tilley will be appearing. If you click on his web site: www.iantilley.com/it has a tendency to lead you elsewhere. Perhaps to the performance of Fiona in Christchurch. So, can we expect to see Al Gurr and Fiona Swadling again in their place? And Hayley is still only 18. www.canterburyfestival.co.uk/eventdetail.asp?id=17My requests to the Festival Office for an update seemed to fall on stoney ground!

Hello folks! I believe Roger and Dave are also going on the pilgrimage to this concert, which makes seven of us, so it should be quite a sociable occasion! Will anybody be telling stories on the way? Four weeks to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard
