Good morning friends!! Here are my last two pictures from Hayley's sound check at Canterbury Cathedral This last one, I think, captures a typically Hayley pose when she is waiting for a cue. Have a great Christmas everyone! Lots of love Grant

You were forgiven the wait, anticipating your pictures would be worth it, as you have now proved. Glad to see you are catching back on your store of so far unshared pictures. I like seeing her n her jeans and boots.A nice contrast to the performance girl. Here is the down-to-earth 'technician' checking all is as it should be. No messing, let's get it right!

Hello again Dave Andrew's post regarding Christmas Presence reminded me that I sent you some pictures for a gallery of Hayley's Canterbury sound check. I'm sure you haven't forgotten. No doubt it's the amount of work being piled on you by the rest of the HWI management Best wishes Grant

Hello All, Alfie Boe's Myspace includes a video of him & Hayley at Canterbury singing Schubert's 'Ave Maria' (it starts after Alfie's solo). Here is the link : Alfie Boe & Hayley Westenra at Canterbury Cathedral, Friday 27th October 2006
. After seeing this video, I understand why you had such a great time at this concert. The sound is incredible! Gorgeous performance. Best wishes, Stephany

Thanks for posting the link, Stephany! I was there, and I remember that lovely duet. You can clearly see and hear why Hayley is such a popular duet partner! Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Richard, I know you have a very good memory. Do you remember what she says before starting this duet? We see her laughing but we can't hear very well on the video. I'm curious to know! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Thank you! Best wishes, Stephany

Sorry Stephany, but my memory isn't that good! Perhaps somebody else who was there might remember what Hayley said, but her speech was very difficult to hear in the cathedral due to problems with the sound system. Fortunately her singing sounded much better, as you can hear in the video. Best Wishes, Richard

I'm curious to know! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Thank you! Best wishes, Stephany Hi Stephany, Well I was very near the front but I had no idea at the time what they said, because the speakers at the front failed and there was far too much echo from the rear for the speech to be intelligible. But thanks to this video you found (thanks!) and a bit of "home technology", now I do know! Hayley: And to join me for this next song I'd like to welcome back to the stage the fantastic Alfie BoeApplause Alfie walks on... carrying some sheets of paper (this is significant!). He bends down and places the papers on the floor in front of him. Alfie stares down intently at the papers as Hayley speaks: Hayley And erm... and we'd like to sing... Schubert's... Alfie interrupts her Schubert's A... Schubert's Ave Maria... Alfie points down at the papers on the floor Alfie... and i need the music! Hayley Laughs and says: "I wasn't going to mention that!" Alfie looks at Hayley, makes a quick final remark - possibly "it's been said" (not sure) Hayley laughs again then they start. Dave

Hi Stephany I was trying to work that out but Dave beat me to it!! Alfie must have been well and truly "Hayleywowed" because from Hayley's actions it looked to me as though she had graciously given him the opportunity to introduce the duet and he forgot!! Best wishes Grant

Hi Dave, Grant, Richard and all, Many thanks for your prompt answers & a big thanks to Dave for decrypting successfully the joke! Grant, I think you're right about Alfie being "Hayleywowed" - did you notice how he respectfully shakes her hand at the end of their duet?! Best wishes, Stephany
