Hello everybody! The following event has just been announced on Hayley's official site. I'll add it to the master schedule. Richard Thank you again Richard! SOME ADVICE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET BOOKED. If you do it on the web you will suddenly be given (if you go with the general option) an option for Top Table. for the same price. Don't ask what the difference it--there isn't one, or if there is the orgnaisers themselves don't know what it isI I stopped the web process and went through on the telephone and they took yonks to come back and say they don't understand that option. I've gone for the wine connoisseur option as members may remember I waxed somewhat lyrical when Hayley was in Canada over that super NZ lunch for which she sang and I wrote I really must look out for NZ wines. There also seem some detailed travel options and yes, of course one can always go to the NZ travel office which, if I recall, is down the Strand, or near NZ House? However, just to help anyone who might likewise be thrown by the sudden option of 'top table'. I was tempted by VIP options but its just after the money I'm splashing out on something of a June holiday generally and in any case, aren't we at HWI the the top table toffs in the VIP category automatically? In that tent you merely 'rub shoulders' with the special guests, amongst scores of others. Those of us here who patiently bide our time and ensure those for whom the signing option with Hayley is their first and perhaps only chance have ful play with her tme, we then have her free. That is being a VIP! 'Though, when ever you meet Hayley, she makes you feel lke a V IP anyway!!! Peter

Yes Belinda, I'm afraid we are spoilt But at least you know we will keep you up to date with *everything* "Hayley" that happens. I bet Gerald and Jill find out the odd thing or two they didn't know from here, too! I've heard of vegemite! But I've never eaten it... is it like marmite? (love it or hate it, no in between!). Hayley's doing a grand job for NZ though, she seems to take part in every NZ event over here that she can and I'll tell you what, we are sometimes tempted to 'fly the NZ flag' too. I seriously considered buying a NZ banner to drape at the classical Brits, to counteract all those Welsh flags we see every year. Next time, i think we will! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave *bedtime* zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This looks like a very worthwhile event to attend. Regent's Park will be lovely in July...the gardens, sports pitches, boating lake all in full vigour!
Peter, sorry the online booking was dodgy and you had to ring up. Anyway, glad you've booked!
I've tried Marmite. Which I came across locally at a swanky supermarket called Wegman's. I was keen to try it as was on an episode of Mr Bean. It's not bad actually and I understand that it's very similar to Vegemite.
Dave G, I think there's a Wegman's near Allentown. They have a great British foods section.
A day at Regent's Park will make Hayley feel like a queen! How wonderful for her and all of NZ.

Responding to both Joe and Dave.
I think the Vegemite/Marmite argument of 'like it or don't. no in between' also applies to peanut butter and popcorn. Yes?
Regarding Dav'es commiseration with Belinda, yes, I too feel a little guilty sometimes. We are very fortunate in our location, split halfway round the world and convenient for Europe and the States.
Hopefully, Belinda and co are feeling a part of the whole from what we publish here.
Regarding promoting NZ. I've been pro-New Zealand ever since I fell in love with Hayley.

Hi Belinda, Peter and everyone else! Regarding promoting NZ. I've been pro-New Zealand ever since I fell in love with Hayley. Peter Peter, you as well??? Yesterday on the Classic FM Chart Show, a quotation was made to the effect that "lamb used to be NZ's biggest export, but now it is more likely to be Hayley Westenra's music"!!! Did you hear that one? Incidentally, I'm definitely a Vegemite/ Marmite lover... It's particularly good with mature cheddar cheese and "Twiglets"... I love the tangy flavour! I am also completely addicted to Dijon mustard- great to spread it on cheese and lots of other food too Regards, Andrew

I'm frustrated at missing his comments about Hayley! What else did he say, which Odyssey track did he play? As for NZ, it's a place I've wanted to visit ever since childhood and it's top of my list of three Countries I'd consider emigrating to (in the right circumstances). The three are: 1) NZ (South Island) 2) Canada (somewhere near the Rockies or the Great Lakes) 3) Norway. I now have too many family connections and responsibilities to emigrate but I'd still like to visit NZ for a couple of weeks' holiday. Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Hi Dave, Re: yesterday's Classic FM Chart Show, at the beginning of the programme, Mark Goodier raised the level of supsense for listeners keen to hear who was to occupy the No.1 spot. He commented that the New 'Opera Album' was a contender for No.1, which could make Hayley's victory "short-lived" ... (but no such chance- Heh-heh! ) Mark played 'Laudate Dominum' from 'Odyssey' yesterday on the Show... As you will know, Hayley's beautiful version of this piece is often played on the programme. Regards, Andrew

Until Hayley, north America was my first choice for alternative permanent living and perhaps, yes, the Rockies (Denver?) but several other places too. I just fear South island may be a little too quiet--but I might find that not so when i get there! This January past would have been a good time to go with Hayley touring and that is when I would like to time my visit. I am not a linguist, despite my interest in language, so it would have to be an English-speaking country. I know north America reasonably well across a wide range of 'cultures' and I know I would feel comfortable there as a fact. South Island I guess I would be very happy there but just haven't experienced it yet. Peter

Haha Peter, Yes it may be a bit quiet for you, as you would not have the chance to go to the amount of concerts that you are used to and you would very rarely see Hayley. Walking through Christchurch you would be surprised when you may be the only person on the footpath, not like London etc fighting for space. But you would like our parks etc and scenery. Yes Hayley does a fantastic Job to promote Christchurch and New Zealand . i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave and ,Co Thanks you do a great job to tell us what Hayley's doing on your side of the world and i know there are a few exciting things coming up soon,From my chat to Gerald the other day.
