Thanks for the wonderful videos, Drew! You were filming from the perfect angle to capture Hayley and Fiona together, and they both gave a truly magnificent performance. The wind was causing a few problems but Hayley coped very well! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Thanks again Drew for the great videos ! You filmed almost the whole performance. How many videos do you still have that you haven't shown so far ? I like them so much. Now I can review the concert every day. Thomas

I woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly remembered another character who I had seen at Toast. Here is antipodean radio presenter Jono Coleman, who was in the VIP tent with his family. I suspect that the colour of Jono's shirt put a smile on Hayley's face. (Unless she was smiling at me behind the cameraman.) Here are some other photos of the event: www.jonocoleman.co.uk/photos.htm

Thanks a lot Richard.
I tried to deduce from your previous instruction but now I've compared my old attempt with your correction of it I can see I added one "img" too many.
I think I need to play with it again to properly twig!! Anyhow I stored the whole rigmarole on a notepad file as I've done with several bits and pieces like that!! Graeme PS Max Bygraves ends up being symbolic for something but I don't know what. I don't really know what he does/did either. Could you please explain or refer me to an explanation??

I don't know about Max being symbolic for anything serious, but you can read about him on Wikepedia HERE. I wonder if he went to the 'Toast Australia' day in Regent's Park? At his age, probably not! Best Wishes, Richard

Here's one more from Toast. I've now worked out how to reduce the file size, but the quality of these isn't so good as they're only a small part of a scanned slide. Grant

Hi Graeme.
I see you had problems too, despite Richard's seemingly straight forward explanation and example. So did I and I had to PM for help. He kindly gave me the answer, so hopefully, I shall follow through shortly with my own attempt, but under the 'Nicola at Cadogan Hall' thread.

A few more pics from Hayley's performance at Toast. Again these are scans from a small part of a colour slide so I apologise in advance for the quality! This last one shows the extent of the breeze Hayley was fighting on the stage! Grant

Here's one I took earlier!! This is Hayley singing Pokarekare Ana at the opening ceremony of the Toast New Zealand festival All these early pictures are scanned from slides and reduced from 8-10mb. Grant Her hair, never mind her dress, reminds you not only of how strong the gusts were but that she was totally unfazed with coping with her dress and her mike and, at that early stage, a rather raucous element so totally calmly and with such superb composure and dignity. I haven't let on until now but I was caught out by her superb handling of the raucous element. She asked the question, 'Who wants another drink?' Not expecting, but interpreting her remark as wanting audience participation (which she did but not for the reason I was thinking at the time), my instinct was to support her and I called out 'yes' too (although I didn't actually have a glass in my hand and hadn't had a drink at all). She looked quickly in my direction, recognising me, immediately. Her look didn't quite say 'Shut up, Peter!' But it inferred a 'Keep quiet, you're not wanted on this one!' :2fun: Then she gave them, clearly pointing directly into the small crowd of rowdies in front of her while waving her hand in the direction stated, 'It's over there at the far back of the field!' Following this, they had the grace to shut up for the rest of her performance. Peter S.

What do you know! I've found a few more!! These were taken before Hayley performed on stage when she came out on her way to sing in some of the VIP tents. Only Thomas and I there at the time so we had her personal attention for a few minutes. As you can see, she seemed quite happy to chat. That's about it for Toast - will start working on some other during the week. Grant
