Our friends in Hayley Westenra Korea have posted the Jolene video to YouTube Hi Paul and everybody else. Hayley's rendition of "Jolene" really pulls on the heart strings... Such a wonderful tribute to Dolly Parton too. When Hayley was on Tour in the UK in 2006 I gave her a Mindy Smith CD entitled: "One Moment More". Mindy's beautiful cover of: "Jolene" was also on there (featuring Dolly as a guest singer too). I wonder if Hayley liked it? Andrew

Just thought of Hushabye today. Only because it was her last album, and when one thinks about Hayley these days, one's mind tends to go that way. My thought was that I hope it isn't Hushabye, and then "goodbye".

Marty Whelan played Hayley Westenra's Ave Maria again this morning without any introduction at about 11 minutes past nine. (02:10:50 on Playback)after he played it he mentioned he has being playing it all week and that it is his favourite version of the Ave Maria. Someone has asked where they can get it and Marty said it is on her album Odyssey. He mentions Hayley again (Just after 2:47:10 on playback) Dublin concert and Never Saw Blue get mentioned. I get the impression that the song is being requested be several different people.

Well, I hope she starts doing concerts again whenever the world opens up for touring again. It's only been 4 years (Madison is 6 years ago!) since the Dublin concert, but for some reason it just seems like it's been AGES.

I saw that Sarah Class was supposed to be on with Marty at some point. Forgot when. Marty had her new album Natural High as album of the week, which means he plays tracks from it every day and says nice things about it. the tracks that I did hear sounded good enough to spend hard earned cash on when the opportunity arises. He may have interviewed her by phone / internet, I didn't hear it if he did. Sarah Class on TwitterSarah Class on Facebook

Marty Whelan played Hayley Westenra's Ave Maria at about 9:40 am this morning to a country in a six week Covid-19 lockdown, probably means a lot more people are listening to their radio.
