Nice to hear Hayley unexpectedly as I passed the radio in the kitchen, Deborah's Theme or I knew I loved you from Paradiso was played by Lorcan Murray at about 4:30.
It always sounds different when it comes through the radio, maybe RTE Lyric fm have better players than I have.

This morning I emailed a request in to Marty, a Beatles song for a friend who is in hospital. I heard him mention my friends name and The Beatles and Paul McCartney and the music comes on and it is La Califfa by Hayley Westenra then after Hayley he plays the Beatles song Penny Lane. That's a nice change. It seems there are only certain ones they like to play, which are all wonderful, of course, but nice to see something different.  |

Over the years I have come to the conclusion they do not have easy access to all tracks from all albums. One of the presenters said they only had three from Hushabye. In general they don't use cds they use a server which may only offer them two or three tracks from each studio album, which may explain the repetition of certain tracks by different presenters who will generally play the one they personally favour over the track that may have been requested. |
