Now here's an interesting tweet. One intrepid fan caught Lucy outside a theatre before she'd had time to do her make-up, but you can see she has it in her bag !

It's slightly worrying that someone follows her on Twitter called "Stalkerbruce". He too caught her without make-up. Believe it or not Lucy actually apologised to fans who photographed her like that ! Personally I think less is more. As the saying goes : " A woman may paint her face but not her soul!" Barack Obama had a harsher version of that when he said:"You can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig!" But of course he was referring to a rival politician and not Lucy who looks gorgeous with or without make-up. When asked in a recent interview what would be her worst nightmare you won't be surprised to learn it wasn't singing a wrong note or not having a top-selling album. It was losing her make-up bag !! Anyway, here's the tweet.

I'm sure Lucy doesn't need makeup to look lovely. In fact I think most women overdo the makeup. Even Hayley, who I know looks lovely without it. It just seems to be expected, and women are happy to play the game. may own lovely wife, when she was alive, hardly ever wore makeup.

Yes Martin, with or without make-up, a nicer girl you couldn't wish to meet. Bearing in mind she spent much of her schooldays hiding in the toilets and covered in cigarette burns from the bullies, it's extraordinary she has turned out as well balanced as she is ! Due to missing lessons she only got 1 GCSE but the Cantamus Choir helped her into college. Her older sister (who runs a hairdressing salon and often does Lucy's hair) has just tweeted this photo of Lucy in a new orange dress we haven't seen before.

Thanks for that, Richard ! Saves me a job !! I think you'll agree that the comely and curvy Ms Kay is ALWAYS worth looking at !! P.S. That dress looks red not orange. I must be going colourblind ! Happens when you stare at photos for too long. !

Hello Richard and Jeff, Thanks very much for sharing the very stylish photos of Lucy from Bristol Jeff, your photo tweeted from Sam Galton, wouldn't show at all so I had to go in and take the 's' of the https in the link. I never knew that Lucy was bullied at school, sorry to read that bit. She definitely has risen above all that and has a very bright future.

Recently on a day off from her UK tour Lucy flew out to an exclusive Alpine resort to do a show. I don't know but I suspect Mr Cowell has a home there, one of several around the globe. I say that because the violinist in the BGT final also performed at the same resort which is a bit of a coincidence, is it not ?! Note to Richard: Isn't that strange ? I couldn't get that to embed earlier but a young geeky librarian told me to use Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer and it worked ! I am also concerned that Joe in the US can't see these links so I think from now on it's goodbye IE and Chrome all the way !

Hello Jeff! I haven't used Internet Explorer for some years now. I prefer Firefox to Chrome, and embedding works fine for me. Richard
