I'll buy the cheaper version from my local HMV shop and take my chances on getting it signed when I see Lucy live next February !

£3 for an autograph? I hope it's signed by hand, not printed on the cover. Richard

This is the commercial world of Simon Cowell. Never do anything for nothing. Plenty of artists, including Hayley will do it for nothing as part of their job. I prefer that.

I could have sat in row A or B for a mere £109 !! That's £39 for the seat and £70 to shake hands with Collabro and have a photo with them !! (No mention of meeting Lucy in this "VIP" package !) I'm not in the habit of paying over £100 to share someone's company and if I ever did I'd expect a lot more than a photo !

Martin D Yes, besides if at all possible I prefer to be in the singer's presence when she signs my album and smiles at me ! Just getting it through the post doesn't really mean that much does it ? Some people may have ideas of selling it for a profit once the artist becomes famous but I'd never do that anyway. CDs signed by my favourite singers are priceless to me and I'd never part with them for any price.

Lucy mentioned on "The Wright Stuff" that she'll be appearing in "The Big Sing" with Katherine Jenkins on Sunday 14th September if any of you living around London will be going. The rest of us will watch it later in the year, probably before Christmas since carols will be sung !

Yes Simon Cowell certainly knows how to promote his artists. Take Susan Boyle, a very ordinary singer in my book, but one who sold a lot of records because of the right promotion. Yet there are so many wonderfully talented artist who fail because of poor promotion. Even Hayley, who has succeeded despite poor promotion could have done a lot better. Just think waht Hayley might have done with the sort of promotion that Susan Boyle, and now Lucy, are getting. Look what happened to One direction, it is all in the promotion. Most of my favourite artists never got the recognition they deserved due to poor promotion. I am starting to thing that promotion is much more important than talent... although talent is what I enjoy. Martin D

It's possible they got Lucy to sign 1000 too. I must say I'm rather jealous of my friend who got to meet her yesterday.

She could well have done as signing a thousand covers is no big deal, I handled the "1,000 lines" punishment I once had at school many decades ago with relative ease, and a bit of ingenuity! Cheers, Dave

Lucy's solo was 'The King of Love'. She also joined the other special guests in the final hymn - 'Amazing Grace'. These will be part of the programme to be broadcast on 26th October. I hadn't realized that Lucy was previously a member of Cantamus (girls' choir) and sang on the same stage as Hayley in the 2006 Big Sing.
