SOL3MIO are from New Zealand. They are 3 Samoan male Opera singers who are all related and very funny too.

Lucy is interviewed in this week's OK magazine and I am pleased to see she promises she will never wear a thong. It seems Ms Wright has not started a fashion trend among other sopranos !

At his recent "early birthday" bash Simon Cowell requested a particular singer. I have a feeling he requested a particular dress too. shr.gs/2PCUNsaApparently it's called a "plunge dress" (like I'd know!). This woman doesn't know I'm on medication because if it plunges any more she could finish me off altogether ! As Richard would no doubt say, it'll be a good dress when it's finished. Now if you'll excuse me I'll have to log off, take one of my pills and have a lie down in darkened bed. I mean room.

Hello Jeff! I couldn't see anything wrong with Lucy's dress in the video, then I scrolled down the page and realised it wasn't the 'special' performance for Simon Cowell! I wonder who will be next! Richard

No, they're probably saving the video of that "special" performance until next week. Only Simon Cowell could move his birthday forward in order to show off his latest singer. His actual birthday is October 7th. Interestingly the original release date for Lucy's album was October 6th. Sheer coincidence I'm sure ! Maybe he's like the Queen and has two birthdays !

I thought at first that she'd accidentally put it on back to front until I saw the back view, except that there is no back view as it has no back. Plunge dress? Well it's one way to plunge in some people's estimation, I guess. Or to kick off a career change...

Well, I guess Lucy was the one Rebecca Newman was talking about when she said she hoped her album could achieve another week at No. 1 in the classical charts, but it won't be any longer than that because of a new album by a "TV talent show singer".

I have no problem with the young and beautiful wearing clothes like this, a time will come in their lives when it will be less appropriate .

Well, the wee Scots lassie (actually not that "wee") is busy with her album launch coming up next Monday. On Friday she will be on BBC Breakfast (no time given yet) and on Monday she'll be on Titchmarsh, 3pm ITV1 so perhaps she'll keep herself a bit more covered up for that ! Maybe a floral design for Mr T ?!

Martin D Yes Martin. I think we all realise by now Lucy has two big advantages over Rebecca (and most other singers for that matter) and we can all see she's not shy about using them !

I don't think those are a good reason to buy the album though.... But Rebecca admits that Sony will probably spend 100 times as much on promotion than Rebecca can afford. And Lucy is already well known and popular, so it is no contest really. Martin D

Folk in Yorkshire will have been surprised and peeved to hear the BBC presenter at 8am describe Lucy Kay as "the people's soprano". I have also read this in the press too. I always thought Rebecca Newman had that title, it is on her website after all and she's been called that for years. Lucy doesn't have a website. (Type lucykay.com into your computer and you get something very different!) More penny-pinching by her bosses. Still, Roar Global are the biggest talent agency in the world and they have obviously calculated that Rebecca is unlikely to sue them since she probably didn't trademark the title in the first place. Not exactly crime of the century but nevertheless an interesting insight into the kind of ruthless people with whom Lucy is now involved.

I sort of vaguely remember Rebecca saying that Lucy had agreed not to use that title to avoid confusion, but I could be wrong.

Just saw Lucy on Alan Titchmarsh show- nice interview makes staying home with a cold and recovering from fainting after blood tests more bearable! I'm pleased she said that she didn't want to rush her album she insisted on taking her time with it. I wish Collabro could have done that to be honest I think Simon Cowell rushed them with their album giving them 10 days or something to record it- there album is very good but some songs sound kind of rushed or could be better. Hopefully this is a sign that Lucy will have a long career unlike a lot of other people who work with Simon Cowell.
