Yes Libby, Sony Classical obviously think a lot of her to try and "break" her in the States. Still, no mug goes to the Royal Conservatoire. It's Scotland's equivalent of the Royal College of Music. Sorry Martin, I know she was born in Braunstone but I'm afraid she wants to be regarded as Scottish (she lives there after all) and the folks north of the border are only too happy to claim her as their own !

Perhaps we should start claiming Hayley as English! But somehow I don't think Hayley would be too happy with that. Although I think she is happy to be called a Londoner.

She went to the zoo yesterday and got chased by a zebra. He wanted to play shove ha'penny! Richard

Yes, Juicy certainly caused a stir at the zebra enclosure. Three of them needed sedating and that was just the male zookeepers ! By the way, did our lady members notice her shoes ? If you look closely (as one does) you can see skulls on them. Is that why they are called "killer heels ?!" I need some advice here. I always take a close interest in fashion. The fact that I know absolutely nothing about it in no way reduces my pleasure in doing so.

All she had to do is lay down in the road and the traffic stops. Then you can walk across her. Martin D

Well actually I'd rather she walked across me but maybe I shouldn't say things like that !

Things are moving quickly now and Lucy's album release date has been brought forward to 8th September. In an interview with Scottish TV (which I can't link to as it's copyrighted) she seems to rule out any crossover songs on the album. She says:
"For now, I'm definitely in love with opera and classical music. Probably not so much classical crossover. There are people who have done that and I'd like to keep the art form alive because I do feel it's a dying art form at the moment. So I'll be blasting out some big arias!"
Whilst this is disappointing for those of us who like classical-crossover, it comes as some relief that her album is unlikely to take Hayley's record of having the fastest selling debut classical album since I cannot see a purely operatic album outselling "Pure."

I think I need to see an optician too, because as far as I can tell, that photo is gone. Not even an icon with an x or anything. Just blank forum background.

Maybe it's only visible in the UK, Libby ? Photos can be difficult on the internet. I find Instagram used to work for me but now it doesn't on Twitter at least. I read somewhere that Instagram had a dispute with Twitter so maybe that's why they took the photos down ? But I don't really know enough about it to offer any solution.

Hi Jeff and Libby,
If we are referring to the 'zebra dress' photo of Lucy, it is visible to me even when using a US proxy server, so there is probably some other reason for its invisibility to Libby (a local Internet service provider issue or a browser issue).
Cheers, Dave

Lucy was at the Diana Awards on 2nd July supporting their anti-bullying campaign and here's an interview she did.

Cheers, Dave It's probably the same reason that sometimes my own signature is invisible to me sometimes... However, usually with my signature, I can see that there's supposed to be an image. I see the outline of it, and a little weird icon that isn't an X, but I don't know how to describe what it actually is. Anyway, I can see the photo now, and I actually did see it the other day, too. I don't know why every other time it's invisible. Not that I'm overly-concerned about whether I see that particular photo, but I'm just wondering why I keep having that problem.

Hi Libby,
Couls be to do with the speed of your link or computer. I sometimes get problems like that with low speed broadband, like the ones on some campsites, or where I'm sharing bandwidth with too many other users.
