Hello everyone, First off, Hayley is my favourite singer of all time (that's an understatement ), and she has been a great inspiration, and teacher to my singing. I didn't get any professional vocal training, I simply follow Hayley and try to sing like her. She's got a major influence on my singing style, but it can never be as good as hers' haha. I got a new high-end keyboard yesterday so I tried to replicate Hayley's version of World in Union, and added my vocals to it. I'd really appreciate if you can have a listen to it and comment on it I'm only a budding singer, and I assume there are a lot of Hayley fans who are really good musicians, I'd really like to improve so constructive criticism is much welcome Oh by the way if anyone else has done covers of Hayley songs, you can post it here too! It's not my topic alone www.mediafire.com/?271ardl4a7kp0tuThanks! Chris

Well, Chris,
Actually that isn't half bad!! Not to be compared with Hayley, but a very decent cover to be sure.

That's pretty good^^!! That's a nice cover! Did you warm your voice up beforehand? Hayley's had the same affect on me. She's my "voice teacher". I've never had lessons though I come from a musical family and sang in school choirs. Several years ago, I would record myself singing with Hayley and then critique my singing. It's a good system! I've become more independent now, I use karaoke tracks or my ukulele! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI did a cover a few years ago of my singing "Yuki no Hana" with Hayley's English lyrics. I was sick with bad allergies. This was before I found out I have Celiac Disease so, because I didn't know about it, I actually had bad systemic inflammation. Mostly i just had trouble projecting my voice... but the recording came out pretty well! I wonder if this link will work: www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=224026010477&savedI have no idea how else to share this if it doesn't... I've lost every other recording I've done of me covering a Hayley songs when my computer crashed recently but uploaded this one to my facebook account. <3 JennyA

Martin: Ah no XD...I think I didn't mention, mine cannot be compared to hayley XD She's proooo....I can never be as good as her haha XD But thanks So any criticism is much appreciated JennyA: About the warm-up....Hmm..somewhat yes because this was the third recording XD...why do you ask? Wow...you've got a brilliant voice and brilliant control over it as well! Very natural vibrato too , I'd love to hear a better recording if you're singing

Simba: I was wondering because it didn't sound like you warmed-up much, but I wasn't sure. I was always told the best basic warm-up is to hum 5-note scales up and down in a comfortable singing range for a few minutes and then do it with different vowel sounds. Ah, Eh, Ee, Oh, Oo. Then move to a full octave, and then sing a easy little song after. I can't help but wonder what warm-ups Hayley does... I would like to hear more future recordings from you as well i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThank you for the compliment^^ both of you. I sort of still sing... I at least try to humm to keep my voice in shape but I haven't been very constant with it. I will be adding more videos to my facebook (and maybe youtube) in the future. Edit: I do have another recording but it's not a Hayley song (*gasp* I know, Sorry) I was experimenting with a softer singing style: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip5CuwNrjZEI COULD argue that since Hayley is my singing inspiration, This really isn't too off-topic.

I LOVE "O Holy Night", Too!! Absolutely my favorite Christmas piece! This is a good cover. Besides warming up before singing, make sure your breathing right. I think you can find a tutorial video on youtube for singing with breath support... From my experience i can tell you that if you focus on those two things you'll notice lots of progress with your singing the more you practice! Good luck! I think you have a nice start! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif<3 JennyA

Thanks Again Jenny! So, warming up and right breathing, I actually watched a lot of warming up exercizes like lip rolls and scales, and actually did that before this song (thanks to you!), and now I should practice this as well

Hi all! I'm glad to see that so many of us have tried our hands (and our voices) at some of Hayley's wonderful tunes. This is my interpretation of Hayley's song "Talk to Me," which sadly she has never recorded/released. Obviously I don't have Hayley's amazing voice but I hope you enjoy this! youtu.be/yEwVM8zWqQwP.S. If you haven't already seen it, this is Hayley's performance. This is the only performance of the song I've ever seen and yet it is still one of my favorites... youtu.be/NQJ8NMGri4w

Thanks for listening folks! I would love to cover others, but it's rather difficult to find appropriate Hayley songs for a baritone. I do, however, play electric guitar as well and I'm working on a few Hayley covers by playing her vocal melodies on the guitar. Sounds pretty interesting. I'll be sure to post them when I record them!
Thanks again for listening!

Hi Rory,
Loved it. A performance that is different from Hayley's, yet brings out the power of the song and is just as enjoyable. Is this the first time we have ever seen someone else cover a song written by Hayley? I think it might be. Hayley has said she would like to write songs for other people.
I hope you won't mind if I tweet the link to Hayley. I think she would love it.
