Hello Dave,
I would also like to hear your "in-between" version.
Best wishes,
Joe

What did you do Dave.
Your processed version sounds a lot better to my ear. Did I detect slightly more reverb? And presumably you cut down the offending 3KHz ringing.

Hi Dave,
I think I like 2b best of those versions. You are right, 2c is a bit dull and lacks "bite". 2b avoids the annoying harmonics of the original. I don't think you overdid the reverb.
I would be interested to know what software you used to do this.

A big mystery has finally been solved! William Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, "2b or not 2b, that is the question." i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt's taken over 400 years to find that 2b is the answer! Richard

Thanks Dave. For the time and effort you have put in on these.
I will Treasure these, I must move them to the safe haven of an external hard drive.
Just think, in years to come these recordings will be playing in someone's house or car and they will have forgotten the origin of them and someone else will hear them for the first time..............

Hi Ross Richard Taylor Martin D and Paul and all, So that's 4 or 5 for 2b and none against so far, so I'll use that one on the HD video. Many thanks to Simba for posting his audio as it prompted me to take another look at what I had tucked away on my computer! Watch this space. Cheers, Dave

Hi everyone, 'Tis done. The Anniversary Edition in HD using audio 2b is up on our Youtube channel at: www.youtube.com/watch?&v=msQjjAnGjQQ#! Let me know if it seems OK. Also, I have just had a nice surprise, Youtube have said we can now post videos exceeding 15 minutes in length, so I *could* post the entire 19 minute tribute to Rich Githens, of which Pie Jesu is the climax. It's currently only available on our website page at www.hayley-westenra-international.com/content/hayley-sings-pie-jesu-us-national-memorial-day-concert and as I'll have to re-do it anyway for the website, to insert the better audio, it could be an interesting test. But - three quarters of it would not be Hayley, so I'm not sure whether or not to Youtube it. Cheers, Dave
