I went to New Plymouth today to see Toni Gibson play Christine in the Phantom of the Opera and she was absolutely brilliant. Such a strong voice and her acting was great.

Glad you enjoyed it, Ross. It is one of my favourite musicals. I was very fortunate to see Sarah Brightman play Christine in the original production here in London back in 1997 (Michael Crawford played the Phantom).

Haven't heard much from Toni lately and I was sorry to see she has been affected by anxiety and depression. I hope she soon recovers from it. She is too good a singer not to !  |

Toni Gibson is touring Australia with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guard Pipe Band. They are doing about 47 shows. They were also going to tour NZ but had to cancel . Going by Facebook Toni is getting great praise. Sent from my SM-G900I using proboards |

Toni has been in England since the end of May. Her first public performance here was a joint concert with Siobhan Owen at St. Saviour's Church, Tonbridge on Sunday 30th July. I was spellbound  |

Totally agree, John. The best singer to come out of NZ bar one ! She seemed to stop doing Twitter a while ago so I'm not sure which shows are coming up ! Anyway, here's her version of "Scarborough Fair" with Siobhan Owen.
