You're entitled to your view, but I hope you someday realise what a narrow view it is. Body art and fashion is a form of self expression. I find the suggestion that somebody with a tattoo is somehow an uninteresting person quite offensive. I don't have one myself but I know many people who do have them and lumping them in same basket is pretty much saying something like 'All brown haired people have no sense of humour'. It's just ridiculous. Makes me feel a bit sick to think that somebody would lump everyone together like that over something so minor.
I know a bit of Toni, and she is no blank sheet. Argh, I can't even express how offensive your post is!
The Hayley Goth mock up? Yes, it did look awful! Just as well it's not Hayley's style! Some it suits, others it doesn't!

Hi All I think everyone now has expressed their views on the pros and cons of body art. Can we now keep discussions on topic otherwise some moderation may be necessary.

Perhaps we should leave the final word on the subject of her appearance to Toni herself when she tweeted me to say:
(I suppose somewhere there is a thread about how to quote tweets !)- Yes, Jeff. Just use the "insert quote" icon above the reply box (second from right in bottom row). Highlight the text to be quoted and then select this icon. You can also use the font size icon to enlarge the quoted text. Martin

Guys, Toni has finally recorded her debut album! I have heard a lot of it and it's absolutely amazing! One of the tracks is "My Heart Belongs To You". Others tracks include 'How Can I Keep From Singing' (strongest version I've ever heard), 'Music of the Night', Evanescence's "My Immortal", Tarja's "Sing For Me", "Wild Horses", "A Bit of Earth" and "Paper Airplane". These can be heard on her website and youtube. Many are played during her 90 minute interview on radio which you can listen to here: www.blogtalkradio.com/kenneth-hieber/2012/09/27/meet-toni-gibson-here-on-one-voice-radioUnfortunately, no majors took the album up. So Toni has turned to Indie GoGo for funding. If you can help in anyway, it would be AMAZING! Every $ counts and if you don't have any spare cash, please help by spreading the word. www.indiegogo.com/toni

Pity about the talking over her singing, although I've come to expect that in New Zealand. They have even been known to do that to Hayley. Perhaps it is just me that thinks it shows disrespect to the artist.
You know, I recognised Hagley Park immediately. I've never been there, but places in Christchurch are starting to look familiar.
Thanks for the video Ross.
I hear our Juliette was at present at this concert.

Very few singers have the ability to "stop me in my tracks" ... Hayley was one of the rare few, in fact the only one of the last decade. And now there's Toni Gibson. I've listened to everything from her that's available online and am convinced she will surpass in fame all of the singers whose names make up the "Other Music" section of this forum. In fact, I'm fully expecting someone like Costa Pilavachi to snap her up on the spot if he should be fortunate enough to hear her sing. She is the real deal if there ever was one in "Other Music". Better than Faryl ? That's a brave call but I think you may be right. Oh at least 25 times better! I never fully warmed up to Faryl, but with Toni Gibson it was spontaneous combustion!

WOW ! But Steve, as you describe Toni as "the most ravishing voice I have ever heard", is Hayley now in second place in your list of preferred singers ?
P.S. Any idea what the tattoo is ?

WOW ! But Steve, as you describe Toni as "the most ravishing voice I have ever heard", is Hayley now in second place in your list of preferred singers ? ... Hayley get my vocal superlatives vote in the categories of "most ethereal" and "most exquisitely magical" -- and that sets her apart from all others. Toni Gibson has a lock on "most ravishing" and "most emotive" voice. These two Kiwi singers sound nothing alike and that's a blessing for each.
