That's funny because I heard on the radio that a young London-based singer from New Zealand was going to sing. Yes, Camilla Kerslake will perform at the wedding ! I don't know where you got that from, but if it's true I'm horrified. Why choose Camilla when you could have Hayley? I can only think that the rumours that the Royal Family are tone deaf are true. Well, actually, Camilla isn't that bad, even if her pitch control is a bit wayward, unless you compare her to Hayley... I was not impressed by the fact that whilst Hayley dropped everything to support her home town in its time of need, Camilla, just carried on selfishly blowing her own trumpet and promoting her new album. I know about this, I follow Camilla on Twitter. Then she claims to care about NZ! I regard Hayley as the finest singer I have ever heard. Camilla wouldn't get into my top 20. Martin D |

Oh and i thought the royal family couldnt do anything stupider... its no wonder the view is that they are out of touch when they select camilla kerslake [who?] over the most universally loved singer, in like ever...
im assuming the logic is that camilla wont detract attention from kate...

Before everyone gets too het up, I'm not very convinced by this -- I've been following the royal wedding very closely and have not heard anything about this - a search of the internet reveals nothing. I was under the impression that there will be no singers at the wedding - only two choirs and orchestra and a military fanfare. Is this an April fool's joke?  Cheers, Jillian |

The only singer I've heard claim that they would be singing at the Royal Wedding was James Blunt - but afterwards he admitted it was a joke and he wouldn't be doing it after all.
I had read somewhere that Camilla was on a shortlist though. So although I hope it isn't true, I can't rule it out.
Oh and Camilla claims to be both Welsh and New Zealand, I think she has relatives in both places. And there are music lovers in both countries that might support her if they think she is one of theirs.
The NZ connection is I believe in Christchurch.

I'm sure Camilla would use the opportunity to try to promote herself, Hayley would just be there and sing, knowing that the day isn't about her, just as she did at the Festival of Remembrance. Well, I must have my piece and the last say about Camilla Kerslake and then I'm done. I, personally, really do like Camilla Kerslake. Her voice is exceptional and her personality seems okay to me.
To totally turn this upside down, I think Josh Groban should sing a the Wedding!!! Now that would awesome, not to mention probably not going to happen LOL
