Hi Paul,
Saw a picute on Spaceweather.com the other day. Somebody had made a pinhole camoera from a shoebox and left it in the sun for 6 months. So you could for each day the track of the sun across the sky. Fascinating.

It would probably produce a drawing similar to half a Spirograph drawing done with a loose pin at the centre. Yes, I have little to do with my time : I am waiting to close the door and switch off the lights when the last person leaves the country, Someone has to play Now is the Hour to the last planes and boats.

That video you linked above was the only one that I could find of Hayley. Best wishes, Joe

Yep, that's the only one in existence at this time. She did great, but songs like that can make her sound a bit chirpy.

... She did great, but songs like that can make her sound a bit chirpy. I don't know of any avian references in Hayley's music outside of Songbird and Mummer's Dance ("The sounds of birds seem to fill the wood..."), but if she's "chirpy" on occasion we should mention that in our Tweets.

Well, there were the bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover and the nightingale in Berkeley Square, both from Hayley's Battle of Britain tour. And of course the numerous gifts in the Twelve Days of Christmas from the Songs of Praise Big Sing, www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-cjK3f87jIand each little bird that sings in 'All things bright and beautiful'.

Lots of birdsong on Listen to the wind,
Now, there's a song title that could be misunderstood.
but I suspect they were real ones and not Hayley.

We mustn't forget that Hayley is often accompanied by Raven.
Lots of other references come to mind, but I think it's time to give someone else a tern.

... Lots of other references come to mind, but I think it's time to give someone else a tern. Her Christmas songs have a few: "everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe" and "partidge in a pear tree". But that's about it. Any experts have something more to offer?

Don't forget the "sea birds crying as they soar" (Mists of Islay) Oh and I just remembered a reference to a swan in "She Moves Through the Fair" not to mention "like two birds of a feather" in "Sleigh Ride"

Do you all really need me to explain what I meant by "chirpy"?

And of course there is "Wings to Fly". Thew song I call "the glider pilot's anthem", but is suppose it could be wishing to be a bird.
And we could extend it to insects too. How about "Summer Fly"?
She sang "Spring, Spring, Spring last year too, from seven brides for seven brothers. Lors of avian references in that.
