What this forum really needs is an "expert answers" thread, where less-informed people like myself can ask the better-informed among us something specific and get a quick, accurate answer.
For example, what ever became of Hayley's involvement in that movie about airplanes and their dangers? Did that ever go anywhere? I wouldn't know where to begin finding that information but someone in here probably knows exactly that answer and might be happy to share it.
Another example: Were there any photographs taken of that Global Angels thingy Hayley did with Natasha Bedingfield's mother a few years back? Okay... you can see I don't know the year and don't recall seeing any pics, but someone else might have a perfect understanding of the event and be delighted to tell.
I'll admit, it's embarrassing to show ignorance by asking about things that should be obvious to many, but searching for answers can be awfully frustrating. We can't pay attention to every detail, and memory fades in many cases. Why not set up a an easy way to draw on our pooled knowledge?
And who knows, I just might be the go-to expert on a few things, too, so it works for everyone to be involved!

What ever happened to the musical which Hayley was supposed to do in 2004?

Hello Steve! Hayley appeared in a charity concert for Global Angels at the Cadogan Hall in London on 6th June 2006. I've found the relevant thread HERE, and the reports begin on page 4. Richard

Is it just me, or do other members have trouble with the "Search" function ?
Is there a thread on " SEARCH " function ?

Um it always appears with No Results for me. So I figure browsing is the only way to go (getting sidetracked doing this is inevitable!)
cheers, Joanne

I find that it either times out, or is useless because one of your key words has less than 4 characters, which it ignores. There is nothing we can do about it, it's something that Proboards themselves deliberately restricted. Tip: sometimes, Google Advanced Search will do better. Cheers, Dave

Hi Steve, We've had a brief chat about this and we'll give it a try, I see some use of it has already been made. So I'm moving this thread to the Miscellaneous board. One thing that may need changing is the thread title - any one of us might know the answer to a question and we are not all Hayley experts! Would a title such as "Questions about Hayley" fit the thread better? Cheers, Dave

So, is it something like a "Ask anything you can't find somewhere else".thread? I think that's a good idea, even good enough to make it a "permanently in the top thread" (or however it is called). Maybe it would be a good idea to post at the top of this thread a clear and exact explanation of the tip of searching threads through Google and,, so people can search easily and if they really can't find the relevant information they could ask it here.

ProBoards forums do have a Google-powered search engine available, but it has to be enabled by the Admin (Currently not the case on HWI). It that were turned on, all you'd have to do is tell Google to search on this forum only. It's a LOT more effective than the standard ProBoards search.
When active, the Google search appears on the bottom of every page of the forum.

Feedback from members will be welcome but we'll keep it going unless the feedback is negative. Google search box is now at the foot of every page. Michal, thanks for prompting Elliot's suggestion. Cheers, Dave

Glad I could help, Dave I never had problems (Or complaints) in the several years I used it on my old ProBoards site, so hopefully it should do what HWI members need it for, too EDIT: Worth noting that it does not replace the old search function, it just gives forum users a choice. Never bad, that, I think

Hi everyone, I've been trying to find a concrete post that I wanted to show to a friend, however, I don't remember the thread it was in and as I don't remember any exact words used in that post, my searches were unsuccessful. So, I thought maybe someone would remember this post and could point where it is.
I am pretty sure it was in one of the most recent concert threads. One of our members was comparing his Hayley experience some years ago with the recent one (I am not sure, but I think he mentioned that this time he could only attend to the sound check)... He pointed out how Haylwy was now much more in control of her own performance, even suggesting some changes to the orchestral arrangement.
Hope someone can help me to find this post, I found it very interesting.
Michal
