When are the Classical/Classic Brit awards this year? Whenever I do a search for it, all I come up with is the awards from last year, or just the Brit awards. I'm just wondering when the voting starts is all, so we can vote for Hayley. The Classic Brit website only has stuff from 2011, and the old link no longer works, which is extremely disappointing, because of the photo galleries they used to have.

Questions for the experts:
1. Which two Hayley songs from different composers sound the most alike?
2. Which two Hayley songs seem totally different yet contain several curious similarities? (I'm the expert on this one, but I wonder if there's a better answer than mine.)

Thanks, Richard. And I have no idea about any of that, Steve.

(I'm the expert on this one, but I wonder if there's a better answer than mine.) On the second question, what sorts of similarities? The words? Or the tune, or both? And it doesn't look like any of us are going to get it, so please tell us soon.

On the second question, what sorts of similarities? The words? Or the tune, or both? And it doesn't look like any of us are going to get it, so please tell us soon. "Amazing Grace" and "Across the Universe of Time" are very similar even though they seem as unalike as two songs could be. They are the exact same length on the Pure CD, they both deal with going through adversity, both refer to long spans of time, both involve the sun. The song titles both start with the letter "A" and end with "e". Still not convinced? Consider these lyrical parallels: AG: Bright shining as the sun. ATUOT: Shine the millions of stars and my spirit burning bright. Spinning on, into the sun AG: Through many dangers, toils and snares... ATUOT: Cold, cold wind, it blows me away...The feeling all over is a black, black day AG: When we've been here a thousand years... ATUOT: All those years drifting in space AG:Was blind, but now I see. ATUOT: And now I can see

...As you said: curious similarities ... I'm the expert on this one ... Paddy Well it's not like I was comparing "Danny Boy" to "Lezione Di Musica" — although I'm sure I'd find something there, too!

Umm... if you say so, Steve. Songs that have some of the same words in them aren't that unusual.

Umm... if you say so, Steve. Songs that have some of the same words in them aren't that unusual. That's true, but in this case the two songs are identical in length and in first & last letters and have multiple phrase parallels. You won't find all those kinds of similarities and parallels in any other songs of hers. As the self-appointed expert on this matter I declare that my answer is definitive.

Hello everyone! I've saved a little bit of money, and it's starting to burn a hole in my pocket. And I thought what a better way than to build my really, really small Hayley collection (lol) by buying the NZ 2 CD version of Treasure. Does anyone know if the Mabecks store charges for that CD as 2 CDs or 1 when it comes to shipping and handling? Also, is there another CD version from NZ that is worth purchasing with Treasure? I'm trying to divide the shipping costs across two....maaybee three different CDs if possible. haha FYI: I want to get every song from an era including different versions of songs without acquiring every known CD edition out there if possible. lol And I don't mind a little overlapping on CDs. Thank you so much for the help! Alicia

The NZ version of River of Dreams is the best one, if you're interested in that one.
