Very nice cover.........but........ is it a new picture ? I had a look at the cover of Hayley´s Best of album in Japan, and it looks like they used the same picture. That is definitely not the same picture. Of course it looks similar because it's still the same person! I've never seen this photo before. I agree, this photo is much nicer than the UK one. Hopefully the tracklisting is just as good!

I agree with Libby. I really don't think it's the same picture.

Some of you have been too analytical about Hayley's album photo shoots lately. It's Hayley, and it's pretty, and it has new, beautiful songs on it, and that's all that counts!

I'm quite disappointed that 'What Child Is This' has been cut from the tracklist -- that's one of my favourite all time carols. Oh well, no doubt Hayley will probably do a second Christmas album somewhere along the line and hopefully it will appear then.

I'm disappointed about O Holy Night, but I am very excited to see that there will be Carol of the Bells! That was one of the ones I'd initially been excited to see on the other "tracklist" we'd seen. I will not miss Santa Baby, however. I know she'd be great singing it, but it really is a ridiculous song. I wonder what happened to that other Japanese one that was also on that big list? Yes, it's definitely worth getting this one rather than the UK one. I still hope there will be a U.S. version, but if there is I do wonder about the tracklist. I wouldn't think of many of those songs as very well-known here, at least not to me. Well, maybe the NZ version will have more songs. If there is one, I'm guessing it'll be released in December, when she goes home. Or do you think it would've been announced by now if there is going to be one? On Amazon, for the regular edition, they show some photos, which are the main cover, as well as shots of her in the pale gold dress. Three of them I've never seen before. I'd post the link, but I think there are too many weird things in the address for Richard to fix.

Hi Libby,
I've tried looking for the link on Amazon, but I can't seem to find it. Is it on the Japanese Amazon website?

Of all the samples, I really like Veni Veni Emmanuel, Corpus Christi Carol and The Coventry Carol. I think because the production sounds the best on them and I like the more classically bent Christmas songs. However, from the tiny samples it seems that River is a standout. It's hard to tell from the samples, but it seems that this is a pretty run of the mill Christmas offering -- nothing too out there. There seems to be a lot of confusion on Japanese music sites over the tracklisting of this CD -- so many music sites are still listing the 23 tracks. Hopefully this won't cause too many problems because I'm sure there'll be people who have paid their money expecting all the songs, who will be very disappointed to find they're only getting half of what they thought they were going to get.

Hi Jillian and everyone I don't normally listen to samples before I get the CD so as not to spoil the surprise. I made an exception with this one as I know most of the carols anyway. I particularly like Hayley's "Veni Veni Emanuelle" and "The Coventry Carol" I have to say though, Hayley sounds absolutely wonderful!! Best wishes Grant

HI all !! Thanks Jillian for the link! I love Veni Veni Emmanuel (in Latin), and the Coventry Carol...brilliant with the vocal accompaniment. Glad that the the CD will be released in the USA too...good spotting that, Northern_Lights! I wonder what differences there will be ?! Joe
