i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Well I have the main video downloaded. It was excellent. It gives you a chance to see how a song goes from concept through to putting it onto an album which was great. I think I will love this song. Its blend of Maori and Japanese words was magical. It shows that the two languages are very similar. I think I am right in that the original Polynesians are very similar to the native Taiwanese people. Yeah you are right Ross, the Taiwanese Aborigines are meant to be connected to all the natives of South East Asia and all the Polynesian Islands. The song has Japanese words?? Which part of the song is in Japanese?

Oops Jono I assumed the second line was Japanese but when i had another look It is actually in Maori. Yeah on my first listen I also thought there was some Japanese in there! But I think it is purely Maori/English...there is one part of the song that I can't make out, so I was wondering if that was the part you were talking about...but I think it is English lol

Yes, Jono. You are right. As a native of Japan, I do not find any Japanese in the song. It begins in Maori and English is added.
My English hearing ability is limited and I can not get everything. This means we Japanese can not understand the lyrics well enough. But Hayley's beautiful voice and the melody melts our heart.
I definitely say the song should be released in New Zealand and other English speaking countries.
Best wishes. Maya

Hello everyone, I find the following screenshot and the few seconds following it in the video very interesting, it's from near the start of the song: Hayley sings "On The Wings Of Time" in the Studio This particular screenshot is from yoshi9yoshi's video, it can also be seen in Maya's video. Cheers, Dave

Why is it that Hayley's best stuff never gets released internationally? Martin Hi Martin I entirely agree that it is odd that some of Hayley's best stuff never sees the light of day in the West. I suspect there are many commercial and financial reasons for these decisions but, neverleless, it results in many existing, and potentially new fans missing out on some great work. Best wishes Martin

I guess now that I saw the video on the youtube thread, I sort of understand why it's a "Japanese" song, and might not be on the international release of any album. That would be too bad, because it's such a wonderful song. But since Hayley wrote the lyrics, isn't it sort of her song? If so, then wouldn't the legal constraints be slightly loosened? What would it hurt to have a Japanese-composed tune released internationally? It can't be that bad.

Hi everyone, HMV Japan has now up the CD covers for the new album "Winter Magic", but no track listing yet. It seems that the cover for the Japanese Regular edition is the same as the UK one, the limited edition has another picture. www.hmv.co.jp/en/search/index.asp?keyword=WESTENRA&site=Best wishes, Paulo Correia

Oh WOW!! That's amazing! I wonder why they didn't use this photo for the UK version!? I think I like it better... It's much more magical and glamorous, I think. Thank you very much for finding this!

Hi Joyce and everyone I had a look at the cover of Hayley´s Best of album in Japan, and it looks like they used the same picture. Reverse the image and it does look very similar, I agree. As presented though, I'm with Dori - it's a better cover than on the UK version. Best wishes Grant
