Today my mighty Crusaders rugby team will play against the Lions and Irish rugby team in Christchurch. So it is party time before the game tonight.

One of the many who were murdered was an 8 year old girl, Saffie Rose who was attending the concert of her favourite singer with her mum and sister, they are in hospital injured. Many more tragic stories will come out of this horrible horrible tragedy. I used to work in Manchester and know it well. RIP all those who were murdered. Little Saffie Rose's funeral took place today, the last one of the Manchester victims because her mother was too badly injured to attend it any sooner. Her family wants the World to watch a montage of photographs celebrating her short life, set in a video to music of her favourite pop star Ariana Grande. Here is the video. Dave

I see there are still a half a dozen available dates in December for the National Concert Hall in Dublin.
Fingers still crossed.

You have the "luck of the Irish" on your side, because she does seem to like coming to Ireland almost as much as she likes going to Taiwan. Some of us with Irish blood, living on other isles (the isle of hope? maybe LOL) could be a little luckier, though.

I wouldn't attribute it all to luck, if her songs are played regularly on the radio it stops people forgetting about her all together. Sometimes the airplay is random luck, but most of the time it is because some of her fans send in the odd request every now and then, the more odd the requests the better, even if they don't get played it keeps the name more prominently in the mind of those who see the requests, anyone can send them, it doesn't matter which Isle you are on. For instance The Hamilton Scores has about 50,000 listeners scores.lyricfm@rte.ie it only takes a little over a 1,000 to fill the National Concert Hall in Dublin. scores.lyricfm@rte.ie you could send an e-mail in less than 60 seconds Dear George.................................................. or Dear Marty............... marty.lyricfm@rte.ie

Well, I don't get up early enough to listen to the radio in Ireland, and if I don't get to listen to it, there's little motivation for me. I don't want to (nor do I have time) listen to an entire broadcast to see if they play my request or not.
What I really wish is that there was a way to get Hayley on the radio in the US, but her music only gets played on internet radio stations, which have stations for pretty much every genre you can think of. Whereas, the local radio stations are just the popular styles. The only classical station is classical music, but not anything that I recognize. And I hear classical pieces a lot by watching figure skating, not to mention from singers like Sarah who sets her own lyrics to famous classical pieces. It's always newer stuff, I guess.
Is Hayley never played on radio in the UK?

Hi Libby,
Yes occasionally, Hayley is played on Classic FM here. This weekend she is being played a lot as they are presenting the Ultimate Classic FM Hall of Fame Chart - the chart of the biggest sellers in the last 25 years. Hayley is right in there and this afternoon, we've heard Dido's Lament and Amazing Grace so far. They are up to no. 115 now with that many still to go by Monday!
Oh, Quanta Qualia now.
Cheers, Dave

I was hoping when I saw that tweet that it meant she was going to be in their radar again because of her album, but I suppose that would be too good to be true... or too soon, anyway. I'm starting to doubt very strongly that her "record" is going to be out by the end of this year if she's still just "working on it". I know you guys don't like her to compete with the talent show stars, but if she really doesn't have a record company, will that even matter? Also, with the mention of winter in one song, it would make sense to be released right before or in winter.

Tanita Takaram Name rings a bell although I can't remember anything of hers. I think I sometimes confused her with this lady, always loved this track although I can't claim it is great shakes musically.

I have that album too.....Ancient Heart.....also as a Vinyl album.....and bought it recently as a cd. I was surprised ..that after 30 years...she is touring ..and did a concert in Amsterdam. As she was 19 years old when she started her career...now 30 years later....she sounds the same...and gave a wonderful concert. My favourite song from Ancient Heart.....Cathedral song....
