Well as Roger's gone missing, guess who won? Let me quote what the programme presenter Jane Jones said immediately after playing the no. 2 "Most Wanted" CD: "Cecili Bartoli and Bryn Terfel together... but even Mozart has been elbowed WAY out of the top spot today by a runaway no. 1 winner to start the week. Hers is a long awaited 2nd album, previewed by Simon Bates who made it his CD of the week last week. You can't get enough of... Hayley Westenra!" Jane then went on to play Bachianas Brasilieras no. 5 Aria (Cantilena). Wonderful! After the song, the presenter said more nice things about Hayley and told everyone about Hayley's performance and signing at HMV 150 Oxford Street tomorrow (5:15 pm). It could get quite busy there RESULT!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

As a track from Odyssey was voted the Classic FM "Most Wanted" of the day on Monday, it is automatically eligible for the Week's Most Wanted. No further voting is necessary but the combined results for all five days of the week are compared and, again, the top ten items with the highest number of votes are broadcast on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. Considering the runaway victory on Monday, Hayley just might do rather well. Roger

Grrr! I missed the Week's Most Wanted programme this morning and the result is not yet on the website. Did anyone hear the result? Roger I certainly did! Jane Jones said, after playing Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor (finale), "The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Maris Jansons - when he first recorded it he was definitely everyone's hot property... but that's got a new title, a new owner to that title makes the top of the chart this week. Her 2nd CD is out and in the shops .. you couldn't get enough of Hayley Westenra this week!" Jane then played Ave Maria and said some nice things about the CD, afterwards. Dave

Well folks, here we go again..... he says with slight caution. On today's Most Wanted list is 'Bachianas Brasilieras - Aria' by Villa Lobos. Admittedly, it doesn't say it is Hayley's version but I think it is likely to be. In the hope that it is, please vote HERE Thanks, Roger

I have found that before at this time of the evening but it's always okay earlier in the day. Cheers, Roger

The Villa Lobos "Bachianas (Aria)" was indeed Hayley's version, although we found out about it rather late and also, some fans unconnected with the forums wouldn't have realised it so this time, there was no landslide and indeed, no victory. However, Hayley did get into the top 10 at no. 7 and was played - and THAT is the point of us voting! So well done Hayley, and Roger, you told us about it in the nick of time! Jane Jones also told us that there will be some new videos of Odyssey tracks shown on Classic FM TV within the next week - so watch out for them! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifNow, I'm off to post this information on the official forum Dave
