This was followed by the service of remembrance. All in all, a wonderful and very moving event.
It was wonderful t see Hayley supporting it. Well done Hayley!

Hello everyone
What a wonderful piece of television! Very moving throughout. I thought Huw Edwards MC'ing was excellent apart from the fact that he must have forgotten that Hayley was to join Jonathan for the second 'duet' and it's a pity we didn't see more of Hayley during the second one.
She sounded absolutely magnificent and seems to find more power each time I hear her.
What an outstanding performance!
"Stunning performance Hayley, and Jonathan!!"
Best wishes Grant

Hi everyone
I couldn't see this when it was broadcast and have just seen my recording of "Today Won't Come Again".
I can only reiterate what others have said here - this is one of Hayley's best ever duets - and when Dave posts this you are going to be impressed.
I am so looking forward to seeing her at Bournemouth in a couple of weeks.
Kind regards
Colin

I listened to some of it, but missed the duet. Thankfully, I found a link to the audio of it, and it is grand! I can't wait until it is posted here!

Hello everyone, Well I had technical problems but I've stayed up late(r) to fix them so here it is! These are extended versions and include about a minute of the Torch of Remembrance and Festival Citation ceremony immediately preceding Hayley's duet. I will probably post shortened versions of just the song later today but I thought it would be nice to first place it in its proper context. A very moving Festival of Rememberance. I was proud to see Hayley appearing and then present at the end for the service.

Thanks Dave.
That was a fabulous and very moving performance by Hayley and Jonathan, and it was very well presented by the BBC. Don't miss the shots of the Queen and Dame Vera Lynn during the applause.
Best Wishes,
Richard

Hi Dave
Thanks for the clips - awesome quality again. In the UK we've had the pleasure of a lot of TV performances from Hayley recently, some to promote ROD and some to promote the Poppy Appeal, which is obviously close to her heart. I think this really is one of the very best of her recent performances.
Kind regards
Colin

Dave thank you very much for the excellent quality video. This is one of the best duets I have heard. The ending brought a lump to my throat, and I reckon a tear to the eye of Lady Vera Lynn as well.

I was very very moved by the whole Festival of Remembrance celebration and service last night. The duet by Hayley and Jonathan was just so very beautiful. Such poignant words - so fitting for the occasion - and so beautifully sung by them both. And it was lovely to have Hayley singing with Jonathan on Here's to the Heroes - it was very moving to hear that song in that context. I was very touched by it. I really hope that both "Today Wont Come Again" and "Amigos Para Siempre" - will find their way onto an album one day. Jonathan and Hayley are so lovely together - I could listen to them all day long. There are some screencaps of Hayley on the Jonathan site: jonathanansell.forums.umusic.co.uk/t/1753.aspxHayley looked beautiful! Love Melody xx

Hi Dave
I think that has to be one of your best results to date. Very appropriate to include the Torch of Remembrance and Festival Citation ceremony as it put the duet into context and made for very emotional viewing.
I have just returned from our own Remembrance ceremony, the last part of which was held outside in the rain, which somehow felt very appropriate.
I have felt much closer to the Festival of Remembrance this year. My dad was a firefighter during the war and thus never went overseas to fight, although he saw plenty of action. Consequently, I have never experienced what it must be like for the families of those who have chosen to fight for their country in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hayley helped in a small way this year. I know we all worried about her, even though she was only there for a few days and probably had a whole platoon to keep her safe during that time, but it made me realise that if I can worry just a little bit about Hayley, what families and loved ones must feel for those actually doing the fighting.
Just felt I had to share that.
Thank you Hayley!
Best wishes Grant

Cheers, Dave[/quote]Putting it in the context is great. Does anyone know what it is Hayley has stuck down the back of her dress? Some technological gadget associated with the wireless mikes? PS The videos above were provided by Dave, not me. Since some people have accessed them from this post, I'll leave them for now. If the admins feel this is causing too much confusion, I have no problem with their editing the post.
