Hi Cherany
Yes, i heard Hayley sing Wuthering Heights at the River of dreams concerts in Lichfield and Liverpool. The song was at the end of the concert, and she did it the same way as shown on the video/dvdLive from NZ.....at the end she thanked the audience, and waved goodbye, while the music was playing. It was for me the first time seeing her this song performing. Of course she came back for some encores!! I really hope to hear this song in future concerts. Greetz JOYCE

Hello Cherany! I was also very impressed with Hayley's performance of 'Wuthering Heights' at Northampton. I didn't even notice the lack of drums, but then I've always felt that Hayley's voice and drums don't really go together that well. Best Wishes, Richard

Tehe Cherany!
See! You started something by mentioning Wuthering Heights.
I was also lucky enough to hear Hayley sing it on several ocassions before the tour halted abruptly with Hayley's chest infection.
It had been a song that I had wanted to hear Hayley sing ever since I first heard her version on the DVD but, of course, it hasn't been in her repertoire between 2004 and the end of 2008 and, like everyone else, I was over the moon hearing Hayley sing it live.
Best wishes Grant

I think there has been a bit of kidology going on. It has been apparent for a year or two that Hayley has been economising on the high notes that she used to sing when she was 15, and had assumed she could not longer reach them. Bur perhaps she was just protecting her voice, and CAN still reach those notes. I thought this, too, but then I reminded myself I know nothing about music! I thought perhaps I was just deluding myself, since the general consensus seemed to be that she could no longer do it, but I really did not want to accept that! The song took a while to grow on me (not that I ever disliked it, but it didn't become a favorite of mine until recently - oddly, I'm pretty sure the big "can she or can't she?" debate was the cause, as it had me listening to the song a lot to try & understand what was being said about notes & power & so forth). I've listened to the original & don't think much of that at all, but I love Hayley's version! What a treat that would be to see her perform it live! I so wish she could tour the U.S.

Hi Cherany, I assume you're referring to Wuthering Heights. I, as Grant and others were blown away. I was lucky enough to see Hayley in Liverpool and Northampton before she became too ill to sing. I thought the performance was absolutely brilliant. We suspected Hayley was having problems with her voice. She took water after every song. She also coughed. However when she sang Heights she seemed to reach down and blow off the roof. I like Kate Moss; but her original version is more of a falsetto. Hayley's version is better. I don't think Hayley has lost anything with age. Perhaps she paces herself so she can really give us a Sunday punch from time to time. I hear you when you wish Hayley would come to the U S. I think it will happen soon. I don't have any reason to say that; but I just think it will. I was in the U K and Ireland three times last year an I'm going back next month. I'll continue to go to see Hayley in Europe until I either go bankrupt or get divorced. Just kidding.

I don't think Hayley has lost anything with age. Perhaps she paces herself so she can really give us a Sunday punch from time to time. Well, that's good to hear! I have heard tales of certain singers overdoing things so much that their voice begins to deteriorate. Hayley obviously takes good care of her own voice, so I don't see this ever being a problem for her. If she sings Wuthering Heights & other challenging songs just now & then, I'm a-okay with that! I'll continue to go to see Hayley in Europe until I either go bankrupt or get divorced. Just kidding.

I think you mean Kate Bush! Kate Moss is an actress! Best wishes Grant and Kate Mosse is an author. That's where I got confused some time back as at that time I was reading her latest book Labyrinth when someone has an album out with the same title! Peter S.

Kate Mosse is an author. Kate Moss is a model. Kate Bush is a singer. Too many Kates! And in the name of keeping this thread on track... I am glad Hayley is not named Kate! I think it's good for her tour!
