The New Zealand Music Council presents ...PokarekaraOke -- a sing-along tribute to Hayley Westenra to benefit the "Bikes for Ghana" charity. [/b][/center] When: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., 27, September 2007
Where: Hyde Park, London
Tickets: £25 in advance, £35 at the gateAll fans of the charming Christchurch chanteuse are invited to partake in a thrilling karaoke sing-along contest to be judged by Hayley herself and specially chosen members of her international online fan club, HWI. To launch the festivities, senior members and moderators of HWI will mime the traditional Maori Haka before Hayley takes rhe stage and performs her signature hit, " Pokarekare Ana". Hayley will then repair to the judging booth where she will watch and listen to songs from Pure, Odyssey and Treasure done by the most talented singers in HWI. At the end of the karaoke sessions, Hayley will select one female and one male singer as winners with whom she will sing duets of "Hine E Hine" and "Silenzio". Emceeing all the fun will be HWI's Dave and Roger with photos galore supplied by Steve H and Stuart H.
