Has anybody ever thought of doing a survey. Go out with a CD player and one of Hayley's CD's and get peoples opinions (especially young kids - so long as they don't nick the CD player ). What do you think?

Hi all,
In light of Hayley's successful appearances last October in Nova Scotia, I am planning to have 'Celtic Treasure' reviewed by John Ferguson. He is associated with Celtic Heritage Magazine, a bi-monthly publication for Celtic-Canadians, as well as those from other countries with an avid interest in Gaelic culture.
I will be contacting Mr Ferguson in a few weeks to find out exactly how I should go about this. I'm sure he'll be keen to make a go of it.

That's a great idea, Joe. It might help if you can time it to coincide with the US release but it looks as though you have thought of that!
I hope your endeavours prove fruitful. Good luck!
Roger

Hi Everyone, We talk to anyone about Hayley !!! Most of the people here have not heard of her, would you believe it ??!! We sent a sample of Hayley's songs to a young female student, who loves to sing and dance !! Have not yet heard back from her. Looked through a music store recently, and put Odyssey and Odyssey SE right into the front row of the Ws !!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifWe asked for the Australian release date for *Treasure*.....no date available yet !!! Love, Marianne

What a nice idea, Marianne! I should probably do the same but unfortunately she's litterally unknown in France and no CDs are available at the moment.

Hi Stephany, Hopefully that will change when Hayley appears at the rugby matches. Then you'll have a full-time job moving her CDs to the front of the rack! Roger

Hello Marianne, Stephany and Roger... and everyone! I went to a nearby Tesco Extra (one of the giant ones) this evening and noticed that they had Hayley up on the top rack as "Offer of The Week" but in fact it was at full Tesco price, not on offer at all. I then noticed that their album chart had a photo of Hayley/Treasure and it said "album of the week".. which sounds more prestigious than "offer fo the week" especially when there's no offer! Therefore, like all good Hayley fans, I waited until nobody else was in the aisle and did some deft swapping of the promo labels. Treasure is now "CD of The Week" at Tesco Extra, Bursledon! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave

Hi Stephany, Hopefully that will change when Hayley appears at the rugby matches. Then you'll have a full-time job moving her CDs to the front of the rack! Roger Looks like I won't have to wait that long! I went to Virgin Megastore near the museum "Le Louvre" in Paris and they had LOTS of Hayley CDs. OK - when I say lots, it's just 3 our 4. They had several copies of "Odyssey" and "Pure". It's a start!!

Speaking of promoting Hayley, a friend saw my avatar on "Google Talk" and asked me who was this - I quote - "GORGEOUS young girl" ?! Obviously he knew it wasn't me haha, but I told him it was Hayley Westenra and he tried a few songs with Itunes and ended up buying the whole "Celtic Treasure" album. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

We recently had to travel to Sydney for a doctor's appointment. When that is dealt with we stop at a Cafe we have come to love, and have a bite to eat. The young waitresses are usually student visitors to OZ for 6 months. You have guessed it, we talk to them one by one about Hayley and her music !!! We also gave a copy of some of Hayley's songs away that day. She is from the Cotswolds, and was really interested !! Her name is Claire. Her predecessor came from France. Today we checked our local music store out, and yes they do have 6 copies of Celtic Treasure !!! They are also playing the songs as Hayley is on the * Recommended * list !!! We made sure the young sales assistants knew all about Hayley before we left !!! Love, Marianne

Hi everyone Firstly, Marianne, did you say the waitress at your cafe comes from the Cotswolds ? You mean in the UK I presume - its just that I live on the edge of the cotswolds. It could be we live in the same place !! Stephany, I have a story about my avatar picture. When I signed up for Gather a few weeks ago, I used my forum avatar for Gather. Not really understanding how these things work, I wasn't aware that photos that you add go into an area where any Gather member can view it and comment on it if they wish. Within an hour of posting, I received a comment from someone who obviously didn't know Hayley , because her comment was "what a lovely looking couple" i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI must say, it boosted my ego no end Mark.

I looked through a music store in Paris in les Champs Elysees and Hayley wasn't anymore in the row of the "Ws - Others"; she had her own section and name printed. What a delight to see "Hayley Westenra" with a few copies of her international album. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThere was a large label on the cellophane wrapper on the CD. Something like that was written : "She has sold more than 2 million copies in the world...she finally comes to France!". It's a first step; Hayley will soon break the French market!
