Thanks for sharing the news, Stephany! It's a promising start, but for real success Hayley needs some prime time appearances on French TV. That would get her noticed nationwide in no time. If all else fails, her appearances at the Rugby World Cup should produce good results, both for Hayley and the All Blacks! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hi all, In light of Hayley's successful appearances last October in Nova Scotia, I am planning to have 'Celtic Treasure' reviewed by John Ferguson. He is associated with Celtic Heritage Magazine, a bi-monthly publication for Celtic-Canadians, as well as those from other countries with an avid interest in Gaelic culture. I will be contacting Mr Ferguson in a few weeks to find out exactly how I should go about this. I'm sure he'll be keen to make a go of it. Hi Joe, Just re-read your post. Any more news on contacting John Ferguson ?? Love, Marianne

I looked through a music store in Paris in les Champs Elysees and Hayley wasn't anymore in the row of the "Ws - Others"; she had her own section and name printed. What a delight to see "Hayley Westenra" with a few copies of her international album. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThere was a large label on the cellophane wrapper on the CD. Something like that was written : "She has sold more than 2 million copies in the world...she finally comes to France!". It's a first step; Hayley will soon break the French market! Hi Stephany, That is fantastic news !!! And in France !!!Wouldn't you just love to hear her sing in french !!! I would !!!By the way her german diction is faultless on * Bist Du bei mir *.!! Love, Marianne

Wouldn't you just love to hear her sing in french !!! I would !!!By the way her german diction is faultless on * Bist Du bei mir *.!! There was a Q&A session on Hayley's myspace, and it's something I dearly wanted to ask her. I'm still waiting for the answer, though! Singing in another language can be a nice way to enter a local market; but if her diction is approximative, it can be the other way around and have a negative impact. Hopefully she will do as good as for Bist Du Bei Mir!! Joe, hopefully Mr Ferguson will enjoy the CD as much as we do. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi there, I am now quite involved with gather.com and I am promoting Hayley whenever I can. I belong to Gather essentials:music as well !! "What did you do today?" was a question I answered by relating my daily visit to HWI, of course !! It gave me a chance to talk about my favorite singer !!! Love, Marianne

Hi Everyone, We finally took a trip to Sydney to find out how Hayley's Celtic Treasure is being promoted !! Woke up on a most glorious morning and hit the road early !! Walked thru the beautiful Hyde Park to the HMV Music Store in Pittstreet Mall. When we first arrived we counted 7 CD's being displayed near the entrance. Spoke to the Manager and he told us that they are waiting for their Hayley poster !! Katherine Jenkins has her poster up presently. We were told to come back in half an hour to meet Sarah, the sales assistant....we did !! She is a Kiwi from Dunedin !!! Loves Hayley and was stacking 20 more CD's on to the shelves !! Hayley sells well, we were told !!! Our next stop was Borders ( by accident ) right opposite HMV. Talked to a lovely lady who informed us that Hayley is a very popular Artist !!! She is very impressed with Hayley's Voice !!! There were plenty of CD's to be bought !! Actually we experienced quite a treat...Hayley sang * Melancholy Interlude * when we entered the store !!! Loved it !!!!!!! But no poster to be displayed !! Our 3rd stop took us to the ABC shop in Queen Victoria's building !! No Celtic Treasure but 2 Odyssey CD's on the shelf ! Needless to say we mentioned HWI everywhere and showed off our knowledge of Hayley and our collection of all things Hayley ! Graeme will post his pictures !!! Love, Marianne

From the 'Sites Stats' thread... I don't really know how the merchandize is displayed after a concert but when the fans will see how many CDs Hayley has done compared to the other girls (no offense there!); they will be thoroughly impressed. Regretably, whenever merchandise has been available at a UK concert, it has hardly ever included more than the most recent album. Because of that, Stephany's comment somehow triggered a short thought process... I seem to recall years ago, the back of a record sleeve would often say something like: "Also by the same artist" and pictures of other album covers would then be shown. Anyone else remember that? Well, if 'Celtic Treasure' is the only album available during the current concerts, wouldn't it help Hayley's promotion if something along these lines were to happen now? Roger

Yep, Roger, I remember seeing those as a kid. I guess nowadays they must believe that a link to the website is sufficient.

Hi toronado, A link to a website might be sufficient if all previous albums were listed on it. Unfortunately, Hayley's official site (like many official sites) currently only names the latest album. If only they would include HWI's url too. This has been mentioned in the past but I think I need to have words before the next album is released! Roger

You're right, I hadn't thought of that, but a lot of artists do have discographies on their websites, perhaps they just didn't want to list the 6.0223 x 10^23 versions of Hayley's hehe.

Hi Roger and everyone.
Interesting that you refer to CD's advertising other titles by that artist. I have a selection of Japanese mini albums and EP's and they all do just that!!
