Wow, there are some excellent photographs in here! I've been having to go through them only a couple at a time but they're still good. It looks like it was another wonderful concert. Thanks everyone for their reports and photographs. Also, thanks Stephany for that short article. <3 Caitlin

Lincoln looks a lovely place. From some photos I have seen, it looks similar to York (with its walls, cathedral etc), where I visited a few years back. Thanks to everyone who contributed reports and photographs. Sounds like everyone had a great night!

And before Hayley sang Caccini, I never even knew there were any other versions besides the 2 mentioned above. Hi Libby I suspect neither did Hayley considering the way she tells us about 'discovering' her nana's sheet music of the Caccini version on top of the piano. It's become a favourite of mine, but I still like the other versions. By the way, have you heard the English words version? I think it's on the New Zealand Special Edition of Odyssey. Best wishes Grant I recently bought the above mentioned CD on ebay, which included the 'English words' version of Ave Maria. Its an excellent version, but my favourite is Schubert's.

I have just received Prayer & Crystal in the Post CD Japan with Hayley's Best of.. CD on it's way from Japan thanks to eBay for £10.50 inc Postage Enjoy Dean

Very belatedly, for which apologies, my review of the concert is now on classicalx. A quick link is: www.classicalx.com/reviews-85.html. It is under Aled's section as I am his artist supporter on the site, but I believe xrainy, who some of you met and who is actually Russel Watson's artist supporter, may write one also - which could be interesting, as she obviously will not biased like me and you lot! The photos have been great, including shots of Lincoln itself . Many thanks all round

Hi Carol, Nice to meet you in queue at Lincoln and also to be sitting next to you for the concert . Good to read your report and pleased that you thought Hayley had a good concert. Yes we would be also back next year if they return ! Hope to 'cross paths' again.
Best Wishes,

By the way, have you heard the English words version? I think it's on the New Zealand Special Edition of Odyssey. Is that the one she sings on the Live from NZ DVD? It looks like that one is going to be on the River of Dreams album, too.

Hi all. We have been busy moving house from Kirk hallam, Ilkeston to Melton Mowbray. We did make it to the concert at the castle and had a very good night. Nearly got locked up in the castle. I had to send 3 dinners back for being cold. Just catching up on all the messages. We are going to Stoke on Trent in October. Abigail spotted Hayley arriving at Lincoln Castle. the minibus Hayley was on arrived as we where leaving the castle but when we turned round hayley had hidden her face with her hand so so was not spotted. The driver had parked and was walking up to the entrance. We have ordered Abigail a school bag from the web site. Does any one know what delivery times are. I have seen payment has gone stright to Hayleys dad. Robert

Hi Robert I presume your referring to parking outside the castle? In which case I can understand Hayley keeping her head down as it may otherwise have delayed her getting inside. Interestingly, Karsten and I were just inside the gate watching for Hayley's arrival and although we saw the minibus drive in, there was no sign of Hayley, so she must have been hiding out of sight. Strange, because at Gawsworth, for example, she saw us and waved. Anyway, she was chatty and friendly enough when she came up to the stage area. Best wishes Grant

Sorry about the cold dinners, castles are rather draughty Hopefully the school bag will arrive in about three or four weeks. The family are involved in the transactions and Gerald usually posts the parcels etc. Best wishes, Joe
