Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful pictures, including Hayley's! I really enjoyed seeing the cathedral pictures. It's huge! It makes me really want to travel and see interesting things like that, not to mention Hayley! Hayley talked about her tour, about the “River of Dreams” album; about next years international album and about another Japanese album. So, what did she say about them? Please, do tell! I think it would be nice if she actually sang more songs in Japanese, if she's going to do another Japanese album. It would even be nice if she would add one like that to her regular albums, too. I'm not so crazy about the Japanese pop style of a few of the songs she did. I'd be more interested in hearing what more cultural, traditional Japanese songs might sound like.

Hi Libby Glad you enjoyed the coverage of the Lincoln Castle concert. Hayley talked about her tour, about the “River of Dreams” album; about next years international album and about another Japanese album. So, what did she say about them? Please, do tell! Sorry to disappoint Libby but I think the only bit of 'new' information was that it appears Hayley has already begun working on the next Japanese album. Best wishes Grant

Oh, well. Thanks anyway! That's one thing that makes me sad about missing out on the concerts. While I see all the photos, I don't get to hear what she says, and what she's laughing about during the concerts! Let alone hear her sing! BTW, upon watching that video of Ave Maria, I am absolutely sure that that was not Bach, but it was actually Franz Schubert.

(I'm surprised no one else spotted that! ) In my defence, though, I haven't heard Hayley sing the Schubert version since December 2005. I've just checked my concert set lists and it was at Beverley Minster on 15th December! Which makes sense now of what (I think it was Aled) said when he joined Hayley on stage. It was something like "Are we really going back that far?" 'cos for a second I thought we were going to get 'Walking In The Air'! Guess it was the first time they'd sung it as a duet since they toured together way back. Best wishes Grant

Ooopps!! You're quite right Libby. My mistake. (I'm surprised no one else spotted that! ) I used to not know what the names of the composers were. I just knew which one I liked best (Franz Schubert). Now that I have both versions on the "Hayley Westenra" CD, I'm an expert. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnd before Hayley sang Caccini, I never even knew there were any other versions besides the 2 mentioned above.

I really enjoyed your slide show. However, I don't approve the use of the song "Tsubasa Wo Kudasai" in its entirety. I'm sorry to have to remove the link to your slide show, pending approval. Hi Joe, SORRY, my only intention was to pay tribute to members who generously shared photos from the concert with us. Glad that you enjoyed it, I hope that some of them saw it to. Anyway, once again, my THANKS to KARSTEN, GRANT, GRAHAM and MARTIN for ALL the photos of the concert. FOR ME PICTURES OF HAYLEY CAN NEVER BE ENOUGH!Greetings from Portugal, Paulo Correia

Hi again,
I deleted the slide show, and I made a new one with three different sections of songs (Tsubasa Wo Kudasai – Wings to Fly, Time - Jidai and I Believe), is that OK?
[Link removed by Roger - please see next post]
Can I upload it to YouTube and post the link here, if someone want to see don't have to download it?
Thank you, Paulo Correia

I deleted the slide show, and I made a new one with three different sections of songs (Tsubasa Wo Kudasai – Wings to Fly, Time - Jidai and I Believe), is that OK? I'm very sorry, Paulo, but no it isn't. Decca usually do not allow anything longer than 30-second clips. They kindly allowed HWI to extend that to 40 seconds for the introduction sequence on our main site but that must not be exceeded. Copyright law applies equally to YouTube or anywhere else. So sorry that I had to remove the link. I would also ask that you do not post photographs elsewhere without the consent of the original photographers. Provided they agree (and I imagine they would), then HWI agrees but would request a link to the source. Roger

Hi Roger,
Thank you for that clarification. I deleted the last one too.

And before Hayley sang Caccini, I never even knew there were any other versions besides the 2 mentioned above. Hi Libby I suspect neither did Hayley considering the way she tells us about 'discovering' her nana's sheet music of the Caccini version on top of the piano. It's become a favourite of mine, but I still like the other versions. By the way, have you heard the English words version? I think it's on the New Zealand Special Edition of Odyssey. Best wishes Grant

Hi all! Sorry I haven't written a comment here earlier but I was at Lake Constance for a week and I couldn't go online. Thank you Grant, Karsten, Graham, Martin, George, Darren and Carol (hope I didn't forget anyone ) for your reports and pictures. It makes me almost feel like I was there. Unfortuneately I wasn't. Lincoln looks like a nice little town with a lot of history. What a perfect surrounding for an open-air concert...And the weather was fine as well. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas
