I was not criticizing the photo just trying to illustrate that what one person puts at the top of a list another may put somewhat further down. Hi Jim Don't worry! I did understand what you were trying to say. Best wishes Grant

Did any of you take any video clips of the sound check ? Not that I'm aware of Comet. I think Karsten was the only one with video capability, but with very few people around it would have drawn attention. Best wishes Grant

I wonder what Hayley is thinking? "I need a new dress to match my halo!""Eureka! I'll get a new halo to match my dress!" Richard

Hello everyone I know we've had a number of pictures of Lincoln Cathedral, but I rather like this one with a slightly different foreground - through the battle scarred walls of the Castle. I particularly liked the sun shining through Hayley's windswept hair. Last few from me later on this evening - a few more of the famous green gown. Best wishes Grant

Hi Karsten, I find your humble humbling apology, earlier today, for your multi-faceted efforts appropriately ironic The two photos below (for example) succinctly speak volumes - in the present context of this thread. Excellent quality (of course) but with those extra artistic touches that surpass technical expertise! These rare Princess photos and the girl-next-door photos - that you so generously share with us - offer a magic carpet to the spiritual milieu that Hayley creates. There, once again, to greet an angel of song with a friendly smile for us all. Karsten (and All), my little Panasonic salutes the big Panasonic! ... and the Canon ... and the Nikon ... and the undaunted disposables .......

If you want a better camera and don't want the expense of a DSLR, talk to Steve or Karsten who both have 'high end' compacts that produce fantastic results! Best wishes Grant Hi Grant, Thanks for your advice. I have now ordered a Panasonic Lunix DMC-FZ28, having talked to both Karsten and Graeme who have easrlier versions of that camera. It seems a lot of camera for the money, and is much lighter and smaller than a DSLR (as well as cheaper). It has 18x optical zoom, 10Mpixels and will go up to ISO 6200 (at 3Mpixels), although how usable that is remains to be seen. It also occurs to me that if I had had it at iTunes, I might have got in with it, since it isn't a professional camera. And since it seems it can work in near total darkness without flash.... I should get it tomorrow, then its off to the seaside for the weekend in the van, and a chance to try it out! Sorry this is OT mods! Martin

Martin *Again still OT Sorry Mods!* Hi Martin, I personally would describe the camera you have chosen as half way between DSLR & compact camera as you have many of the functionality that is standard on DSLRs but with a fixed lens. So a nice choice for somebody not wanting a DSLR but better than many compacts. The reviews look good for this camera as well I hope you enjoy it Cheers Dean

Hello everyone Here is a sequence of pictures taken, I think, during the orchestral piece at the end of "May It Be". I wonder what Hayley is thinking?Answers on a postcard please Best wishes Grant I suspect she wasn't expecting that orchestral piece! The audience certainly weren't, since the applauded at the end of the vocal, then suddenly the orchestra struck up again. Actually, on a general note, if I can be critical of such a wonderful performance, I thought the orchestra seemed slightly out of sync with the singers occasionally. Hayley and Aled were absolutely together, but sometimes it seemed the orchestra was not, warying the pace of a song in a slightly different way to the singers I wondered if this had anything to do with the conductor being behind the soloists, so Hayley and Aled couldn't see him. Karsten. I'm going to have a hard job choosing which ones to download and keep, they are superb! Martin

Hi Martin I don't think that would have been the case. I think the orchestral ending is usually included when Hayley sings with an orchestra. I agree that the slight pause between Hayley finishing and the orchestra striking up again did confuse many members of the audience though! Best wishes Grant

Hello Grant! Your photo of the cathedral viewed from the castle walls was outstanding. I honestly had to look at it twice...it looks like a miniature model. Well done! Like I said yesterday, not only the concert pics but a history and travel lesson! Best wishes, Joe
