I'm surprised this concert has not yet been advertised on the official site. Maybe someone is on holiday ?! Lucky I looked at this one though. On the whole I find this site has more up-to-date info, better photos and more friendly people ! Thank you for that, Jeff. It is disappointing that the official site often fails to list all the events. The fact that Cadogan Hall is not listed caused Peter to ask how prominent she will be. I have two answers to that: 1. When I mentioned this concert to Hayley in Cardiff, she said she did not yet know what she would be doing! 2. She was pretty prominent at Newmarket. In fact, she was the only performer, yet that isn't mentioned on the official site either. Neither are the six concerts in the recent "Castles" tour with Il Divo, nor the Massed Choirs concert in Cardiff, nor Pontypridd or Wisley or Huddersfield. So I hope the members of the official forum do look to us for information. Come on, folks, register and say hello. You know it makes sense! Roger

Hi Drew,
Thank's for the link. Of course, the events listed are only those in which Fiona was involved. However, it is worth keeping an eye on it because we may well find some helpful information there.

Hi Peter,
I'm in Branksome, just on the border of Bournemouth and Poole. I've come to the conclusion that Hayley won't be doing Dorset this year, that's why I'm coming to London. I agree with you that Hayley should be running her own gig. I was looking forward to her usual UK tour in November but I see she'll be recording so Cadogan may be my only chance to see her before she goes into the studio. Regardless of her prominence I still find the concert compelling for the Beethoven Emperor Concerto which has one of the most beautiful slow movements ever written. So much so that Peter Weir used it in his film "Picnic at Hanging Rock."
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your kind comments. Look forward to seeing you and Stuart on 23rd. I'll be right behind you........literally !
Regards to all, Jeff

Hi Drew.
I was just about to reply to Jeff in Dorset that he had sold the event to me, reminding me what a long gap it might be before we see her again. Then your post caught my eye.
Apart from anything else there seems likely to be a crowd of HWI (how about CLOUD as a collective noun for HWIs, I seem to recall an earlier (off topic incidental) discussion on this) there and I couldn't miss the party--al fresco pre-concert nuptials on the pavement with the two Hayters and Roger? Oh Its September, but we may have an Indian summer!
I think Roger was with them for awhile and then left when I arrived--pure coincidence of course, i do realise that--yes, all right I never could take a hint, you have to shout it out to me, sorry about that Roger!
I was also going to say to Jeff that under the photographic thread I am about to post a picture of my morning guests for breakfast which might interest him and Steve H. Much also to interest Steve H and oh, I'm doing a Hayley, our friend in Penn, in the photographic thread shortly. I'm referring to you, Joe, of course. Sorry Joe.
Oooh The reason for posting was.... to say that I'm in F25.
I did think that if we regulars are really going to be of value to her we should occasionally place ourselves in the less advantageous seats, so we act as stool pigeons for her--and that ought to be me as I'm no good with the camera--but as I might not get another opportunity for awhile I thought, 'no', grab best advantage. In any case any report will not be of value as the next time will be some time away.
On top of which, as Jeff says, the Emperor is a superb concerto and i do love the piano as an instrument, which is why I think I must have another go at learning it.
Peter

A new member of the Official Forum has posted to say that Hayley and Aled Jones are to appear at the Cadogan Hall in London on 23rd September. Roger & Richard, My scoop back on 21st June came from a letter sent out by Cadogan Hall after I had purchased tickets for 6th June (Global Angels) and I registered my details on their website. Have you both registered on their website so that you can receive updates in the future? Do I presume that Cadogan Hall is Hayley's local? Knowing how many times Hayley and Aled Jones have performed together, I have taken a flyer by purchasing tickets for 6th October to see Aled Jones and "Friends". Hayley is bound to be attending Andrea Bocelli's concerts 04/10, 05/10, 07/10 and 08/10, so she would be free on 06/10!

Well Andrew, Cadogan Hall is in Sloane Square and if it's Hayley's local, some people might think she's a Sloane Ranger! Hmmm... well perhaps not! Cheers, Dave

Roger,
Am I correct in understanding that Aled Jones is managed by Steve Abbott and produced by Ian Tilley?

Hi Drew,
Aled is managed by Steve, yes. I am not aware that Ian has any direct involvement with him, but he may have.
