Hello again folks! I went to the box office at Cadogan Hall this morning, and forked out £35 for seat C14. This is close to the middle and one row nearer the stage than I was at the Global Angels concert, so I should have a very good view from there. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've added the date of the concert to the title of this thread. 89 days to go! See you there, Richard

Yes, I'll be there too, in the second row, pulling faces to put her off ! We'll see just how professional this young lady really is !! NO FOLKS I'M JOKING ! I wouldn't do that to her. Besides, she's not Welsh ! Nice to see the concert starts early (at 7pm) for those of us who have trains to catch. I'm told it finishes around 9.10pm, to be followed by a "charity presentation." It seems like it will be a posh do so I'll have to find a jacket and tie. That reminds me, must drop in the Oxfam shop on the way home ! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello Jeff! Cadogan Hall is a rather posh venue, so I shall polish the brass buttons on my blazer specially for the occasion. I'm pleased you've got a good seat for this concert, and it looks as though quite a few members of the HWI Forum will be going, including Hayley! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif65 days to go! See you there, Richard

Hello Richard & everybody,
I have just booked tickets for this event today. Myself, wife & daughter are in row B - just in front of you Richard !! It seems like this may be a slightly different event to the other two that I have been to, in that Hayley is likely to sing some of her more classical songs. I wonder if she will duet with Aled ? I am really looking forward to it and will keep an eye out for you.
Best regards
Mark

Hello Mark and welcome to the forum. It looks as though there could be quite a gathering of us at Cadogan Hall. You are more likely to recognise us than the other way around. If you do, please introduce yourself and join the party!
Best wishes, Roger

Thanks Roger. I have actually been a Hayley fan since the middle of last year when I originally joined the forum at HW.Com. However, for some reason I couldn't log in a couple of months ago and so re registered. This is my first time as a member on HWI however. I do feel sort of like I know some of the main members already and will look out for you. Apart from meeting Hayley at St Marys Church Banbury (my home town) last year, I met her again at Savill Court on June the 30th and have got a lovely photo of she and I together. If I can remember what to do, I will add it as my avatar here.
Many thanks for your reply and look forward to meeting you at Cadagan Hall.
Regards
Mark.

Hello Mark, and welcome to our forum! I recognise you from Hayley's official forum, and I'm looking forward to reading all your posts on both forums. I was at Hayley's concert in Banbury last year, so I might remember you from there, and I'll certainly look out for you at Cadogan Hall in September. It's going to be quite a gathering! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

Welcome Mark from me too as I was also at Banbury but due to uncertainty about the 'long' (to me then) drive back stayed in the hotel across the way the name of which escapes me for the moment.

Hi All
Many thanks for your welcome messages. I look forward to meeting you. Peter, I think that the hotel you stayed in would have been the Whateley Hall !
Best regards
Mark

That's the one Mark, couldn't think of it at the time. Thank you.
Did it not once belong to (hence its name) a preacher there who knew either Ben Johnson or Shakespeare and was renowned for his interminably long sermons, during one of which he literally bored one of his parishoners to death?
Though whether the expression 'bored to death' derives from that one incident or not, I don't know. Perhaps you do?

Thanks Richard. Pleased to see you're polishing your buttons. You have to make an effort when you're out mixing with the nobs don't you ?! I got myself a silver-grey number with pale blue pinstripe and for £3 they threw in a tie as well (I had to haggle!). Just hope it doesn't get torn and ripped when I trip over your tent on the way in ! Seriously though, you'll be the first to see her I've no doubt so please give her my love and say I hope to see her later. Don't we all ! (Smiley with tongue hanging out, very apt !) P.S. I see you use an internet cafe. I use libraries as much as possible, they're free. (Well, they are once you've paid our sky-high council tax !!)

I'm surprised this concert has not yet been advertised on the official site. Maybe someone is on holiday ?! Lucky I looked at this one though. On the whole I find this site has more up-to-date info, better photos and more friendly people !

On the whole I find this site has more up-to-date info, better photos and more friendly people ! Hi Jeff, That is why I chose HWI, I am amazed sometimes to see so many guests on this site, some may even be from the official site, bus as yet have not decided for one reason or another to join us. HWI is structured to give Hayley's supporters a full and comprehensive service, including reports, news, photographs, and even the reports from Il Divo's official site which Richard and others have trolled through to give you every mention of Hayley during the world tour. We have reporters located in all corners of the world, so that even when Hayley is far away you will get the concert reports here first. We are pleased that you have joined us Jeff and look forward to your posts, you are a dedicated supporter of Hayley and its members like you that will make this forum even better. I look forward to meeting up with you again at the Cadogan concert in September. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSteve

I'm surprised this concert has not yet been advertised on the official site. Maybe someone is on holiday ?! Lucky I looked at this one though. On the whole I find this site has more up-to-date info, better photos and more friendly people ! Hi Jeff. That is a lovely compliment to the whole of HWI, not just the management team, where it is justly deserved--I can say that, they can't--even if we do have our occasional differences, but usually only of emphasis and detail rather than serious substance! I'm glad you feel at home here. By the by, whereabouts in Dorset? I used to visit regularly a college friend who was my regualar weekend retreat in a little cottage just outside Dorchester. The fact the 'official' site doesn't publish the Cadogan Hall revisit does beg the question, 'how prominent will Hayley be?' I am also wary of repeating a previous wonderful evening. Last time, she teased us by coming on at the end but she proved it was the right strategy and she was magnificent, not just on stage but those wonderful, superb, fun moments with her on the street. I fear an attempt to repeat that height of ecstasy will be a disappointment. You can't have a wedding twice, well, to the same person anyway (usually) but also, we don't yet know how much of the show is under her control. Those memories of her running her own gig, everything running round her are so right and so great I really cannot tolerate Hayley playing second fiddle to anyone. Especially now that, in my view, she has paid her fee, done the hard 'junior', assistant stage manager hard graft, which is how I perceive she has treated the Il Divo events. She's worked her passage and earned her laurels which before I think she questioned she deserved because fame, success and adulation seemed to come too soon too easily. Now is the time for her to run her own thing. There is just one hesitation and only she can judge it. Is the voice strong enough yet? Maybe six months will be sufficient, if she is planning to tour to promote the new CD in 2007, to finally convince herself that she realty is up to the demands of her own major show series. There are many questions to that, such as audience pull, location, sequence etc. Regarding her performance, I have found, since I first discovered her, that every six month period I ahve seen a lot of difference. This last six months of continuously seeing her without any gap, over that period, everything leads to steady confirmation and the building of a strong base. But as Roger commented, almost in passing, a few posts back, there is a general feeling we won't be seeing her for awhile (apart from Cadogan). After all, if the third CD is to be issued Spring 2007, then recording must be late fall (latest) 2006 and if to be promoted as a series of touring concerts, then: planning, booking, dress choices, fittings, music arrangements, choice of songs etc, drafting publicity, agreeing promotional image. All these things are essential, have to be pulled together and are very time-consuming. Just arranging a meeting with the people involved to get things started and a schedule laid out takes time and that's just the start! Peter
