That looks like a great programme. Thanks for posting it kcuteus1. Personally, I would have liked more Hayley in it but, I suppose six songs is pretty good going. For those who will be there on Saturday, the long range forecast is currently saying that the weather for the day will be sunny periods. So far, rain is not on the forecast. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'll keep checking. Cheers, Keith.

Yes, thanks very much, Kimberly. What a magnificent programme. I agree with Keith though, it would be nice to see a bit more of Hayley but we probably will. She is bound to give us one or two more songs as an encore. Roger

O Mio Babbino Caro?? WOW! I didn't think Hayley would ever sing this song but I think its awesome that she is!
Is it possible that whoever is there tapes this song? If you could I would definately appreciate it because I would love to hear Hayley sing it...
Natasha
P.S Kcuteus1 where did you get this program? Can you get them for other proms programs?

Hi Natasha,
I don't think that recording it would be very effective. Between the stage and the audience, there is a lake. Just how far away that puts us, I don't know. No doubt the sound system will be suitable but, at that range, there is likely to be a lot of ambient sound. Alright when you are listening to it live, but ruins any recordings that could be made.
Anyway, does anyone have such recording equipment they could take with them?
keith.

As for the lake getting in the way, it shouldn't matter provided Hayley doesn't sing 'The Water Is Wide'! Roger

I asked Steve about the lake at Kenwood House and apparently, the front seats there are about the same distance back as the rear seats at Hampton Court and, I guess, many concert halls. I can live with it! If anyone does have portable recording equipment, it may do OK from the front rows, especially if it has a plug-in microphone and if the sound has a "high quality" or "music" setting. Most camcorders and digital cameras seem to be set to record speech and can easily distort loud music. Unfortunately, the only recorders I have are old ones, too big to use discreetly. The batteries don't last long, either. Dave

But we could be lucky again and miss it, as at Hampton Court... it's too soon to work out the timing and it will hopefully be dying out anyway, as it approaches the South East. Temperatures look like being around 23 degrees C in the afternoon falling to 15 or 16 during the evening so it will feel quite warm, with fairly light winds. It will be interesting to see if the forecast for Saturday changes again tomorrow! Dave

Any rain is likely to be confined to an afternoon shower or two, showers dying out by evening. It looks like a warm pleasant evening for all - and that's *before* Hayley sings! Keith, you were right in the first place! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Re recording the concert if no one has a tape recorder, i have used a video camera to record when i could not have it visible to video the event and the sound turned out fine. Belinda
