I think most services willl operate normally by Saturday (except near the Underground stations affected by bombs). I am sure there will be a way of getting to your main line rail station on Saturday as these services are expected to operate normally. There are several different ways of getting to all the main line stations, we will know a lot more about it by Friday afternoon. The weather forecast is again good for Saturday, with only a slight chance of a shower and pleasantly warm in the afternoon, a mild evening and not much wind. Cheers Dave

Hello again everybody! I know I'm not going to Kenwood House on Saturday, but I think the local transport should be OK by then. The Northern Line, which serves the Hampstead area, was not involved in yesterday's explosions, and it is running a near normal service this morning, so I had no problems getting to the Internet Café. I don't think Sunday's concert at the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre will be affected either, and I hope to see some of you there. Bye for now, Richard

I have just got home having had a really pleasant evening in excellent company. The concert was great and, needless to say, Hayley was absolutely wonderful. The only disappointment was that she only sang six songs. Never mind, every one of them was worth the journey. But there was an unexpected bonus for me. Hayley had just finished her sound check and Lothar, Paul and I wandered off in search of Keith who we had temporarily misplaced. Having found him, we were wandering around the grounds and happened to pass by a side entrance at the precise moment when Jill, Gerald, Sophie and Isaac arrived. We chatted with them for some time before they had to go to find Hayley. They had yet to see her having only arrived in the UK this morning. After the concert, we all met up again and with Hayley this time. But I'll let the others tell you more. It is now 01:45 BST and I ought to get a few hours sleep before setting off to see Hayley again tomorrow. Roger

Well now it's after 2:30 am and I'm home, too! Unfortunately, I saw no-one "interesting" before the start as I walked through the gates late, with two of my daughters in tow; just in time to stop for the minute's silence at the start. This was in memory of those terrible events in Central London a couple of days ago and needless to say, the silence was absolute. The large grassy viewing area was full to the brim with picnickers, deck chairs at the front, and a large concert stage across a small lake, dwarfed and surrounded by a thickly wooded backdrop. Hayley sung several numbers from her usual repertoire but I was surprised and delighted when, about three songs in, she sang Puccini's "O Mio Babbino Caro". And an excellent job she made of it too - it was a refreshing change to hear it sung slightly less "operatically" than usual but in a style that most certainly suited Hayley. Clearly, as Hayley's singing techniques continue to develop, she is able to broaden her repertoire even more. The conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra made special mention of Hayley immediately afterwards - praising her excellent performance on "O Mio", and for such a young singer, too. In the interval, Keith found me, and presented me with an award for my part in translating the Odyssey Japan tracklisting... but unfortunately for me, he had already eaten the Mars Bar and all I have to show for it is... the wrapper! But it did enable us to meet up with the others after the concert and fireworks, in time to greet Hayley, family and entourage as they left the arena gates. One of my daughters, who has a disability and can be, shall we say, over-exhuberant at times (!) made a mad dash for Hayley - who immediately gave her a cuddle and kiss - and remembered her name from their one previous meeting over a year ago! Later on, as we left, she got another kiss and cuddle and didn't stop talking about it all the way home. Amanda now claims the record of two kisses and two cuddles from Hayley in 10 minutes... beat that, you lot! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Anyway, it's way past my bedtime now so that's all I'll say except, what a wonderful evening of music in *perfect* picnic weather.

It is now 3:36am and I have been home for about 15 minutes. I am shattered and yet deliriously happy. I had already been thoroughly entertained by Hayley's sound checks in the afternoon. So, that had made the journey more than worthwhile in itself. And I was not misplaced!! I knew exactly where I was. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHayley was magnificent - as always. Bringing out a fabulous version of O Mio Babbino Caro that made the small hairs on the back of my neck stand up. May it be was glorious. The finale was the orchestra playing the Thunder and Lightning Polka, accompanied by a superb firework display. There was only one thing that could make it any better and, as previously intimated, we got that, too. Gerald, Jill, Sophie and Isaac were there. And we had some real quality time with them. And that was before they had even seen Hayley, having only arrived in the country a few hours earlier. Then, there was more quality time with all of them after the concert. After all that, a 230 mile drive home just goes by hardly noticed as I think back over the days events. All the time being serenaded by Hayley from my CD player. Now I am saddened that I will not be able to support her at the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre tomorrow (well, tonight actually) as 900 miles of motoring in two days is not an option. Give her my love when you see her tomorrow, guys. Keith.

Natasha Hi Natasha, thank you, and yes we certainly did have a wonderful time! Regarding O Mio Babbino Caro, Hayley sang it wonderfully, quite possibly for the first time ever! (Roger?) Don't stop wishing for it either... Cheers Dave

I can confirm that this was the first time Hayley ever performed O Mio Babbino Caro. It was without doubt the best rendition of it I have ever heard. Oh yes, Natasha, who knows, your wish just might come true one day. Roger
