Just a little info.
Today I called Gawsworth Hall - (01260-223456) to reserve five tickets. The guy was stressing the need to book early, saying that it has been extremely popular and he expected to sell out in the next ten days.
The covered seating seats 1000 and another 250 on the lawns. He said over 400 tickets were sold.
May be a sales ploy but he did sound genuine.

Hi Richard, as you started this thread and Hi George as you gave the latest information on the 4th April. I'm booked for the hall and yes it is getting close to full at 21st April. A least as far as the covered stands are concerned

Hi All

I am looking forward to the concert this Sunday. I will be there with my wife, Denise, brother Chris and his wife, Tracey and also for the first time our sons girlfriend, Wendy.
Wendy has good taste! I still can't persuade my son on the merits of Hayley! One day though, you never know!
I hope to be in a position to take some photos. If so I will post some on Monday when we return.
I don't think many of the regular crowd are going to be there. Peter, I think you said you would be. So look forward to meeting you and saying hello. Anyone else from HWI going to be there?
Unsure what weather to expect. It's a very mixed forecast, depending on which channel I am watching!
I am confident that Hayley has the sunshine arranged for us anyway.

Hi everyone!

I'm one of the lucky ones with a ticket for Sunday's concert and I've been prayimg for good weather for our special girl. As Crucifer at my local church, I have an arial, so am hoping my message gets through!.

I know you are going to be there Peter as we spoke about it at Toast. My plan is to arrive in the area about noon. There is a pub (called The Fools Nook I believe) and hope to have a bite of lunch there. The hall opens its gates at 2pm and I'm sure that you are aware that the concert ticket includes admission.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting up wih you again.

Concert time in half an hour!

Wish I was there...

From the rainfall radar and a report from nearby Woodford 10 minutes ago, a fairly narrow band of light to moderate rain is about to arrive at Gawsworth.... Grrr! Lucky for the majority in the covered stands but not so good for those on the open grass.

Unlike last year's Manchester Prom in the Park, it won't be heavy rain. Temperature is 21 deg C, 70 F, and fairly light winds (10 mph) so it could have been be worse.
