Private Amway Gig, Sydney, March 26 2016

Hello all! It seems as though Hayley has performed a private gig in Sydney about 8 hours ago! So, it would have been the 26th there. Frank Lin found a video on Facebook HERE via TVBS News in Taiwan, and posted it on YoutTube. Here's the video:



It seems as though there was some kind of "Taiwan" night. She performed "The Moon Represents My Heart," a medley of "Flowers In The Rainy Night" and "Amazing Grace," as well as "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Here is a link for Amway Taiwan in Sydney. I think it might be some kind of seminar.

Also, we can tell the Hayley is staying at the Shangri-La Hotel from this page on the Amway Sydney/Taiwan website (I'll put the picture below to compare it with Hayley's latest Instagram; notice the headboards).

Yes, found this via Spiderman on Hayleyonline. You guys are onto it too I see. Fantastic video, I love it. It is also an interesting variation on Amazing Grace; I don't think I've ever heard her sing it like that before. But it is good news, Hayley seems to be alive and well.

If you listen carefully at the beginning of the video, while the lady is talking, you can just hear her finishing up Scarborough Fair. I wonder how many songs she actually sang!

I suspected there might be some special reason for her visit to Sydney. Though I'm fairly sure she's on her way to NZ next. She hasn't been back for her usual holiday yet, and it's her birthday in 2 weeks. She usually spends about that time back home this time of year...

Oh, but I believe we have heard her sing it that way before, Martin. Except when we did, she wasn't singing it by herself. She was singing it with Minako Honda! Of course, the lower parts were hard to hear in the recording, which makes it even more exciting to be able to hear her sing it this way solo. I for one am delighted to hear her sing it like this for once. We've heard her sing it practically the same way for years, and I've always loved that version of the song. And after the slightly disappointing nasal recording on the Japanese Paradiso, I was even more pleased to hear it now.

I think that is a red dress. If you look at her hair it's a different color and length so I think it's a reused photo.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! A surprise Hayley performance is one, but Is no one gonna talk about the fact that she performed ACROSS THE UNIVERSE OF TIME!? After nearly 10 years?! OMG, It's one of my favourite songs of hers! For those clueless, it's at 0:36 of the video quoted above! Wow, knew it the moment she sang "Bring me back to you...." Now I want a fuller video of that performance! Dee adi da di da di da.....But besides that Hayley looked stunning, and delivered a brilliant performance!
And ofcourse the Half an hour show was entirely Hayley, the video that we have is already 16 minutes, and we know she sang Scarborough Fair and ATUOT now, so I wonder what the other songs were....Im sure there'd be atleast 3 or 4 more...Could it beee...she finally sang Summer Rain? D: Or Listen to the wind maybe...still hoping for that day would come...

I know for myself that I did not watch the video till just now, so that's why for me. But I can say it is easy to miss if you are not paying super close attention to Hayley singing in the first 45 seconds. And it was only one line too that they showed. So great job Simba for noticing it!!

Since you brought it to our attention, I also can't believe Hayley sang ATUOT!! And it is one of my faves too. Hopefully, on the next tour she will dust it off, and bring it out for us to hear again. Much prefer it to You Raise Me Up. No offense. Just that it is HER own song! Not Secret Garden and/or Josh Groban's song! I mean don't get me wrong, she gives a beautiful rendition, but I prefer to hear her sing her original material.

Makes me wonder if Hayley wanted a break from singing it for a while. (Yes, 10 YEARS is quiiiittttee a while ago I agree. lol) I also wonder if the company hosting the private gig made special requests. Seems likely with "The Moon Represents My Heart" and "Flowers in a Rainy Day". Could have also asked for ATUOT?

All I know is Hayley sounded wonderful, blissful from the footage we have! Can't wait for the long rumored album and following tour! Hopefully, it's by the end of the year. (Can't wait much longer!) As long as she is taking, I am liking more and more Martin's suggestion of a double album!

And I'm over here doing math. I also agree that Hayley preformed for 30 minutes at the function. The close to 15 mins. of footage we have is without Scarborough Fair (majority of it anyway) and ATUOT. Looked over at youtube, and SF usually ran right about 3 minutes of a performance. And ATUOT has an average running time of 4 minutes. So we are up to 22 minutes. So I am guessing 2-3 other songs were performed at this private gig. Love to hear what they were because Hayley was pulling all the stops it sounds like for this function. Just my 2 cents.
