They're so sweet... this is the kind of thing Simon Cowell used to hate. Competitors being so nice to each other. LOL But who cares what he thinks?

Whatever happens in tomorrow's battle, the girls have certainly taken several steps up the ladder to success. They'll probably be getting more offers of work than they can accept! New from Instagram: http://instagram.com/p/z2oYlLzhgL Richard

Yes, I'm sure they will. Thongs have gone viral for Annelies since she appeared on the show.
Good luck girls. I'll be watching.

Now there's an idea. Classical Reflection could represent the UK in the Eurovision Thong Contest! Richard

Oh dear? No, I don't think so! Why did they put the o next to the i on my keyboard.
I think artists need to realise that what they wear makes no difference in a blind audition.....

Unfortunately the girls were eliminated from the competition in tonight's battle rounds. I thought they gave a good performance though. They were the very last act, performing when there were no steals left, although Will was very impressed by them, and probably would have stolen had he been able to.
Well, at least they will have been noticed.

They sung well but never had a chance. Here is their performance, up against Emmanuel Nwamadi, singing The Living Years, may not be viewable outside the UK though so I hope it will pop up on Youtube. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02ldplqThe consensus from viewers on forums that I've seen is that the joint performance (all three of them) was the best of the show and that's probably why they were the final act. Unfortunately, all the judges' 'steals' had been used up previously so whoever lost, was out. And in such a contest, up against a male performer strong in voice and physique, in that type of song/genre, they were on a hiding to nothing. I have seen many comments on the Net wishing they too could have progressed, even while acknowledging that Emmanuel gave the better performance (on that song). Because that song was chosen, with those competitors, as the final act, it's fairly obvious that the producers wanted them out, for whatever reason. Dave

Because that song was chosen, with those competitors, as the final act, it's fairly obvious that the producers wanted them out, for whatever reason. Dave This is exactly why I stopped watching American Idol. Last season the producers (no longer Simon, some guy from Sweden, Per Blankens) and judges seemed to do everything in their power to eliminate a certain contestant, who happened to be my favorite. Her style was not nearly the norm of most other contestants, and obviously not quite what the producers wanted in the show. Though why they chose her if that was the case, is a bit baffling. Part of the problem is that her strength is her songwriting, and she sings her own songs best. She later voiced her frustrations about only being allowed to choose from a small list of songs, and to me that almost seemed to say that they were choosing song lists with the sole purpose of getting her eliminated. She did better than they probably hoped at first, and every week she'd get extremely critical, very biased-sounding remarks from the judges. If J. Lo didn't already get on my nerves with her juvenile antics during performances, her own juvenile, body-flaunting performances on stage, and much-too-frequent close-ups of her face throughout the show (allegedly as part of her contract), hearing her say things to make this contestant sound bad lowered my opinion of her even more.

Here's the battle performance on YouTube: It wasn't the right song for Hannah and Naomi, but they sang it very well. I'm sure it was all a fix, so I won't be taking any further interest in The Voice! Richard

I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of Classical Reflection. Here's a very positive article from the Peterborough Telegraph: Classical Reflection's Facebook page likes have increased by about 100 overnight, so they've got plenty of new fans now. I hope they record a full album soon, with this as the title track: Richard, feeling better now!

I wonder if in hindsight the twins were a little too angelic, too sweet and innocent, so unique that the judges didn't know what to do with them ? I'm sure they'll do great on "Songs of Praise" but on a show like this they were like lambs to the slaughter. It felt like they were saying their goodbyes earlier when they said what a good experience it had been. I thought it was a crass song choice. "The living years?" More like The Dying Years !! But what can you expect from judges with no experience of Classical-Crossover ? It's up there with "Seasons in the sun" (Terry Jacks) and "Honey" (Bobby Goldsboro) as one of the most depressing songs ever written !! The twins did their best with it but it didn't really suit them. It suited Emmanuel's voice better. If Aled Jones or Steve Abbott had been a judge he would have put them through with a better song, something more uplifting like "You raise me up" or "Morning has broken." What we really need is a singing competition purely for crossover singers but we won't get it of course. At the risk of praising Simon Cowell they would have stood more chance on BGT as there are less hoops to jump through. Next week in the knockout rounds the judges will reduce their teams from 8 to 3 before the public finally get a chance to vote for their favourite singer ! As it is, I've only got Lucy O'Byrne to cheer for now and I wouldn't give much for her chances after what we have just witnessed. After all, probably the best singer to enter the show is sat at home in Cardiif, twiddling her thumbs. Well, Annelies probably isn't twiddling her thumbs but you know what I mean !
