The Voice 2015 teams: Ricky Wilson's acts prove most popular ahead of battles



Team Ricky Wilson is proving to be the most popular ahead of the battle rounds this weekend.

Over the past seven weeks we’ve seen the coaches build up their teams of twelve, with the final set of blind auditions having aired last weekend.

And Team Ricky – which is made up of Hannah Symons, Letitia George, Stevie McCrorie, Jade Hewitt, Classical Reflection, Shellyann Evans, Emmanuel Nwamadi, Tim Arnold, Hannah Wildes, Vikesh Champaneri, Christina Matovu and Autumn Sharif – is looking the strongest.

The Kaiser Chiefs star is the favourite to win with one of his acts and in our poll this week he topped the vote with you lot saying he has made the best picks.

Waiting until the last minute doesn’t seem to have paid off for Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am, who both trail behind newbie coach Rita Ora in the rest of the results.

Of course the battle rounds could see it all change with each coach having to axe six acts.

But they’ll also get the chance to steal two contestants from the artists that their rival judges choose to reject, completely mixing up the teams ahead of the knockout stages next month.

On Saturday The Voice kept the best till last, a trick they must have learned from Simon Cowell. Having sat through nearly 2 hours of indifferent singing we finally had Lucy O'Byrne v. Karl Loxley. Lucy won. Will.I.am said she was the best singer he'd ever heard but he also said he didn't understand Classical music ! The result didn't really make much difference however as Karl was stolen by Tom so they both remain in the competition. Here's the battle:

I did not care for Karl in that song. And Lucy has a good soprano tone, and at first I thought it sounded excellent, but then it began to decline just slightly for me... but then, I do have very high standards.

Yes, Classical Reflection's battle is this Saturday, 7 March 2015. Here's some information from the Peterborough Telegraph:

Peterborough residents are currently looking to follow in Jermain’s footsteps.

Singing twins Hannah and Naomi Moxon, from Longthorpe, and Vanessa Hunt, from Wisbech, are taking part in the current edition of The Voice.

On Saturday (March 7) all three take part in the show’s ‘battle round’ having already come through a blindfold audition to be mentored by one of the four famous judges.

Hannah and Naomi, who are called Classical Reflection, are being mentored by Ricky Wilson who is lead singer for The Kaiser Chiefs.

Vanessa is being mentored by singer Rita Ora.

Peterborough’s singing sensations will look to avoid the chop in the next stage of TV talent show The Voice.

Twins Hannah and Naomi Moxon, from Longthorpe, and Vanessa Hunt, from Wisbech, will try to impress the four famous judges when their latest performance is shown.

Both will be on TV screens for a second time at 7.30pm, Saturday, March 7, when the show airs on BBC One.

Having survived the audition stage, next up is the ‘battle round’ to see who will be kept on the show.

Nineteen-year-old musical teachers Hannah and Naomi, who are known as Classical Reflection, are being mentored by Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson.

However, even if Ricky’s help is not enough to keep them in the competition, the twins are already working on other exciting ventures.

Hannah said: “We’re so excited. It’s been a long wait as the performance was recorded a while ago.

“It happened so fast we cannot remember how we sang so it will be interesting to see how we performed.

“I’m really glad that we went on The Voice and we might be going on another TV show, something that we already watch and love.

“And we are also in touch with record labels.”

Hannah also revealed that she and Naomi had started to be recognised out in town.

Describing her time being mentored by Ricky she added: “He is really lovely. He makes all his acts feel really special.

“He also gave us all a few good luck presents like a notebook and also a personalised message.”

Naomi added: “He’s so down to earth and he does not make you feel nervous to be around him.”

On Classical Reflection’s performance she said: “It’s a bit scary seeing it back but it’s been a really good experience.”

The battle round sees two of the judges’ acts going up against each other with one going through to the next stage.

Hannah and Naomi are up against Emmanuel Nwamadi while Vanessa (27) who is mentored by Rita Ora, is up against Liss Jones.

Vanessa said: “It was very immense. It’s difficult to sum it up. It’s surreal.

“Working with Rita was great, she’s really funny and it’s nice to work with another female.

“It’s been a great experience.”

The other two judges who sit on the panel are Tom Jones and Will.i.am.
