In todays magazine, which came with the Sunday Star Times, had this article about Hayley which was written when she was in Sydney. I thought it was funny when she replied to the question about what she takes with her on trips and she said I'm a girl, I take everything.

This is an excellent article, thanks for posting Ross! Looks like her worst travel experience was really awful. That's not very serious, Hayley...

Thank you Ross for this wonderful posting. I find this exhiliarating. - For those who haven't thought of it, you can enlarge the scan in the bottom right hand bar to save saving and working through a picture viewer. I found 125% enough to be more easily readable for me but it does hold readability at 150%.
- Well, there we have it. You can’t get more authoritative than that—her eyes are blue-green. That explains why we have had so much debate about what colour they are. They may reflect her mood or state of health (I don’t know if there is a variation in people’s eyes caused that way) or more likely to be the way the light catches them at the time. Predominantly blue, I think is how we have all in the main perceived them but we have had this debate about the greenness in them.
- This is pure absolutely unquestioned Hayley being Hayley. Simple, open, uncomplicated, straight-talking fun-loving girl totally relaxed and enjoying getting on with her life. In the light of our recent (my hand is up as pleading guilty) deep intensive (over-heavy?) debates, we stand out ashamed in contrast for our over-analysis. Many of us need to take this leaf of total simplicity and straight forwardness out of her book for our own use.
- 'I'm a girl', she says. She didn't need to insert the word 'just', as in 'I'm just a girl', her whole interview states that so obviously. We need to treat her more like that in our dialogues (or should that be diatribes?!)
Peter S. Postscript. Interesting that she mentions 'The White Cross' at Richmond. I have no recollection of it but it is only round the corner from 'The Slug and Lettuce', which I do recollect having lunch in when visiting friends in the area. If I remember correctly, the location is near one of the many tiny islands in the river, because we walked the area and I suppose my friends had a prefernce for the Slug through association with their friends/neighbours rather than any particular selection.

Thanks for posting the scan, Ross! That is an excellent short interview that really shows how human Hayley is. I doubt if that is her real passport, but it's good to see she describes herself as a classical/folk singer. That's exactly how I would describe her. Best Wishes from Hayley's second home to her first! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

All things considered Stephany, I think I would rather have the bad experience with my luggage than try to eat the squid guts.... I guessit beats live Aborigine grub worms.... Jon
