I'm sorry for the confusion, Libby! The link farther down in the comments on my post there is the "group" for the station. The first link I sent is their facebook "page" that was there first! Oh, facebook ... They'll see the request on either page or group though I think Becky said that they use the "group" page more and the live chats go on there between fans when the show's on... I see that they "liked" your comment so all is well!! SO to clear up confusion: FB Page: www.facebook.com/pages/Kitcfm-Classical-Crossover-with-PatRice-and-Becky/372970082767998FB Group: www.facebook.com/groups/401971446508750/ (They use this one more but both are safe) Jenny♥

I hope that's the right place! And I decided to do what I said above; choose one that we all could agree on, and then one of my other favorites. I also added a couple Josh Groban songs. I see you did, too. Yes, i love Josh, too i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Now that we've both requested from his album, hopefully they'll play Josh, too!! Hayley and Josh! What an awesome show this'll be! I, personally, still hope they get around to that Sarah Brightman song I requested, too but I'll be happy if they at least play Hayley... *fingers crossed* Jenny♥

Hi all - Just a reminder to tune in, exactly ONE HOUR from now, to KITC FM 106.5 Live Radio if you intend to listen live to "Christmas in July" on the "Classical Crossover With Pat Rice" program in order to hear which (if any) of Hayley's Christmas songs have been chosen. www.kitcfm.com/live-radio.htmlA rebroadcast of the program should be available later under "Past Shows" at the station's home website. Yep they mentioned Taylor name for requesting 'Veni'
If the show is replayed, Hayley 's song was played after Jackie 's 'I'll Be Home for Christmas', about 53 minutes in.
Great show! The ladies say they hope for a similar CC Christmas special in December.

Cool! Didn't know they had mentioned me! Had to leave halfway through Veni for dinner. Oh well, I can just listen to the mp3 I guess. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifP.S.- I think this radio show should get its own board. Just a suggestion.

Hi all -
That is enough of that station for me! Thirteen songs, 8 of which were by Jackie Evancho, 1 S Brightman, 1 J Groban, 1 Casoldo (sp ?), 1 Il Divo (?), and 1 by Hayley. No mention of the name Westenra until after her Veni Veni Emmanuel had been played (which began at about 48 minutes into the program, according to my notes). Didn't sound like they had ever heard her name before, the way that they struggled with it. Heard them mention Taylor, but now see that I missed Kim. I realize from what they said that Jackie Evancho fans had been generous in supplying the program with Jackie's music, thus the preponderance of her music. But that was too much of a price for me to pay to hear 1 Hayley song there!
BobS
I now believe that the two names above (?) that I did not hear clearly are Castaldo and Il Volo, thanks to Joe.

The two artists whom you questioned were Michéal Castaldo (with a great Christmas medley incorporating the 'Banana Boat song'!) and the other Il Volo (a group of three young Italian tenors).

Hi Joe -
On song #5, I had the name Michael, and when I added what I had for the last name, I was able to find the correct name on Google. On song #9, I had Jingle Bells Rock, but missed that by a mile when I tried to find the singer on Youtube and came up with Billy Idol. I knew that it didn't sound like anything of Il Divo to begin with. Thanks for sorting 5 and 9 out.
Kind regards, BobS

Well, I for one won't stop listening. And I'm starting to like Jackie, even if only just a wee bit. And, I mean, it was a bit overkill on her music, but there are probably a couple of reasons for that: All they have available is mostly Jackie music; Remember the poll that started this show and this thread? Jackie clearly had the most votes ; And when they asked for song requests, there were almost all for Jackie. I was the one of the only reasons Hayley was requested at all ! It would be nice to get a little backup on the Facebook front... We could get more of Hayley's music played if we just tried!!! This isn't a lost cause. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifP.S.- I don't blame them for getting mixed up with Hayley's name. For the first 2 years I listened to Hayley, I always said it as "WestERna," not "WestENra," so that's understandable.

Kinda 'overkill' with the Jackie songs, huh. At least I like her... just not when she's taking over a "Classical-Crossover" show! ( NOT a "JACKIE" show!!! ) I had requested that they play a Hayley song a week ago, then reminded them of my request this week. But I also requested the Sarah Brightman and Josh Groban song (which they played) Well, that's all well and good for variety's sake but next time I know to request ONLY Hayley, Maybe then it'll go better. (I think 90% of song requests were for Jackie! ) Besides all the Jackie requests, To be fair, Pat did mention two weeks ago that this week's show would be mostly Jackie music. honestly, I think I remember them doing better than that the last few weeks. Of course they've never played more than one Hayley song in a show.- but at the time I was the only one requesting her music. Those of you who, like me are determined not to give up, let try to request earlier than Monday or Tuesday!! We now know that Pat and Becky have Hayley's Pure and Winter Magic albums. if they get enough requests, they'll go buy one of her other albums Jenny♥

Yep. Let's not give up! Next week, let's all ask for different songs off Pure, and maybe a couple off Celtic Treasure, just to see if they have have it. Divide and conquer! -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I agree with you, Taylor. Good strategy. I'll probably end up going after Celtic Treasure!! I'd love to hear "Le Notte Del Silenzio" but i don't think the ladies will want to buy the UK imported edition... Aaaand I'm much too attached to my copy to sent to them one!!
